Well, Dave did the first one, so I guess I'll do one too.

My name is Mike, I believe I am the newest Staff Member on this wonderful slice of Internet heaven. I joined the site on August 19, 2006 after I stumbled onto it through a series of recommendations. I immediately started loving scanning images and eventually started to enjoy filling in missing info. I knew I wanted to become a permanent part of this site right away. Earlier this year, I started a little blog called the Treasure Hunt Chronicles, mainly as just a way to keep track of when I bought stuff and the circumstances I bought them. It turned out to be very successful and I was asked to join the staff on July 22, 2008 at 1:09 PM, by 6:30 that afternoon, one of my dreams had come true. I was to be a blog writer, something I had never, ever thought I would do.

Well, that's quite the history on me and RFG, but RFG isn't my entire life, just 90% of it.

I am going to school for Environmental Studies and am in my 3rd year. My dream job would be to get into Wildlife research or management, but really as long as I get to work outdoors, I will be content.

I also love to hunt, I shot my first deer within an hour of my very first time ever hunting. It was a smaller doe, but she went down quick and painless and that's what is important in my book. She was also damn tasty.

I guess you could call me a collector in general, as I don't just collect games. I think it must be genetic as my dad, his brother, his aunt, and my grandmother are all major pack rats. Some people think it is weird, but no one ever has a problem borrowing something from them. But, I try to only collect useful or potentially valuable items. I used to collect records, I've got a few hundred but I've quit buying them simply because I have no room for more. So, games have become my main focus.

Learn more about me, after the jump if you want...

Name: Mike Fox (no my middle initial isn't "J" so don't ask)
Age: 20
Location: Youngstown, OH (Well, a suburb of Youngstown anyway)
Hometown: Youngstown, OH

Position: Blog Writer

1. Do you have pets?
We've got a yellow lab/golden retriever mix that I absolutely love, her name is Ginger. We've got another dog too (I don't really care for her though).

2. What is your favorite color?
Green. It used to be blue, but everyone says blue, so I changed my mind several years ago.

3. What kind of music do you like?
Classic Rock. I'll listen to everything from Johnny Cash to Devo. But my favorite bands are The Beatles, Zeppelin, Skynyrd.

4. What do you do on your free time besides spending time on RFG?
I go to school and work mostly, I also spend a lot (maybe too much?) time at garage sales.

5. What are your goals/dreams in life?
Have a nice house on a secluded piece of property with around 100 acres.

6. What got you involved in RFG?
I already got into this at the beginning. But basically I was looking for a collection tracker and a good community to ask questions to.

7. Are you into sports? If so which ones?
Nope, not at all. I used to play Baseball when I was young, but quit when the coaches stopped pitching. I also tried Soccer for a season, that was way too much running.

8. What is your dream job?
Like I said before, Wildlife research or management.

9. What was your first screen name?
On AOL, Fox1388. I can't believe I remember that, that was like 10 years ago.

10. Do you have any piercings?
As Dave said, "No, hell no, and more no."

11. Are you a lefty/righty or ambidextrous?
Right handed.

12. Do you have any tattoos?  If not do you wish/plan to get one?
Again, as Dave said, "No, hell no, and more no."

13. Do you have any siblings?
2 older sisters, 27 and 29.

14. What is your favorite website?
RFGeneration.com It's really the only site I spend any time on that's not school related or a search engine.

15. Do you play computer games? If so which ones?
I used to play a lot, but quit because I didn't want to keep buying a new computer every other year. Roller Coaster Tycoon and Age of Empires took many hours of my life.

16. Do you play video game consoles? Which ones?
I'd like to say yes, but I really don't play as much as I should. And when I do it's usually either an NES, SNES or something PS2/GC era.

17. Do you collect?
Yes, that's all I do really.

18. Are you married or planning to get married?
Not right now.

19. How many languages do you speak?  Which ones?
Just English. I took a year of Spanish in college, but all I know are a few words.

20. Do you drink?
Yes, I come from a long line of accomplished drinkers. Although I'm strictly a beer drinker, maybe a shot or two of Crown Royal, but nothing else really. My drink of choice is Miller High Life, it used to be Miller Lite, but I started getting sick any time I drank it, so I had to switch.

21. Do you smoke?
Hell no.

22. Did you play hooky from class?
Absolutely.

23. Do you have a license?
A license to kill? No. A driver's license? Yes. A HAZWOPER license? Yes.

24. Do you obtain a good amount of sleep daily?
Yeah, I guess.

25. How do you sleep?
Whatever is comfortable.

26. Have you ever been on an airplane?
Yep, went to Vegas when I was 14, that sure was boring.

27. Have you ever broken a bone?
Just a thumb, twice. Although my knee has been dislocated several times.

28. Do you wear jewelry? If so what jewelry do you wear?
Just an el cheapo digital watch from Wal-Mart. It looks like shit, but has a nice big display and is fairly durable.

29. How do you dress?
Winter: Jeans and T-shirt. Summer: Shorts and T-shirt.

30. How many keys are on your key ring?
Nine, plus a USB flashdrive.

31. What time do you go to bed?  What time do you wake up?
Usually 11 or 12. Wakeup around 8, just depends on when my first class is.

32. What's the freakiest thing you have done?
Rather not discuss it.

33. Do you live alone?
No, but if I could afford it, I certainly would.

34. How many hours a day do you spend in the computer?
Probably around 11-13 on weekdays, usually less on weekends.

35. How many hours a day do you spend on RFG?
Probably at least 6 on weekdays, 1-2 on weekends. I've spent 53 days online in just over 2 years. And most of that time was probably in the last year.

Water is really the only thing I drink besides beer.

5' 11"

42. How much do you weigh?
A lot.

43. What's the feature on RF Generation you can't live without?
 a. As a staff member?
The community, it's easily the best on the Interwebs.
 b. As a community member?
The forum, best anywhere. It may be slow, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
