Hey everyone, I've won two new games and I just got my ticket today to go to the Reading Music Festival! Not only that but I've got some other news but you have to read on to find out what that is!

First new game is Silpheed, I'm a big fan on Shmups! Back when I began collecting I won this game on eBay for 99p with postage, problem was that 1. For over a week I got nothing and the guy didn't respond to my emails, the excuse was that he was moving home AFTER THE AUCTION FINISHED. 2. was that he lost it so he gave me a refund...seriously? You lost it? How can you lose the game you were selling on a website?! Anyway I gave THAT guy a low feedback score and now I have a copy which I paid 8.76 for, a little over 99p don't you think? I'm getting a spine card for it which adds the price by 3.99.

Robo Aleste, yep, it's another shmup and now I have four out of five European released shmups for the Mega CD (Sol-Feace, Keio Flying Squadron, Silpheed and Robo Aleste missing Lords of Thunder), unless Afterburner III counts as a shmup, then it would be five out of six! (I did say I am a big fan of them!) I keep seeing it for 30 - 50, even though there was a copy with its spine card for 35 I couldn't resist this copy which I won for 15.38!
MEGA CD FACT: Robo Aleste (or Dennin Aleste in Japan) is the last game in Compile's classic
Aleste series. Which started with the MSX and Sega Master System (where it was called Power Strike in the US).
Silpheed is technically the only game that used polygons, which was a big deal for a Mega CD title!
Now for the big news, its a bit late because I wanted to save it for the next blog entry. But since 14th August, I'm now the current web editor of the PAL Mega CD Library! The previous editor, Ben, was too busy to make more updates, even when the site isn't fully complete, so now I've been given the role to update the site (if you go to it here:
http://www.sega-mega-cd-library.co.uk/ I've already made a few updates and additions already!).
Not only that, I found this video on my Hard Drive!
Yes it's a video tour of my room, recorded with a really old (no kidding) digital camera back in September 1st 2008, when I started collecting for the system, I've also found out from the video you can see a version of my game storage that actually PREDATES Shelf of Doom 0.1!
Amount Paid:
Silpheed 12.75
Silpheed Spine Card
Robo Aleste 15.38
Total cost: 439.21
