Now games which rarely appears on eBay are more pressurising than regular games, whether they are rare or not. This is because if they Seldom appear, then if you bid for one you will be afraid of losing because it may never appear again for possibly one, two, three, four or maybe (in the case of the game Syndicate apparently) five or more years.

For me recently, I came across and were in auction with two games that seldom on eBay but appeared soon after Byte Back. When both auctions ended, I lost one and won one. The one I lost was Marko's Magic Football, I think I bidded too early, if three days before the auction ended would be agreeing, and it ended up like this.

You may think that isn't much, see this and you'll know how much losing that auction hurt.

Yep, if no one bidded in those last few minutes I would have actually one the game at around 12 GBP instead of paying around 75 GBP + Postage. I do know the winner (not personally) and he sells retro games a lot on eBay so I'm guessing he may sell this game in the future. How much will be up to him/her though.

The one I won was a game I've been wanting since I played the demo a week before Byte Back (so the end of February). SENSIBLE SOCCER! Amazingly the auction was untouched before I made a bid, it was at a starting price of 10 and I placed my bid 2 days before the auction ended and it stayed at that price until the VERY LAST MINUTE, when two bidders placed a bid before ending at my Maximum bid of 22 GBP! Talk about close! Here's the picture:

As you can see, it's in great quality, the case is a little dirty but cleaning can do the trick. And yes, I got a Lethal Enforcers disk free so now I have two copies.

As my spending habits are a concern and I have exams in the future, I will temporarily taking a break from collecting. My Birthday will be soon because of this break I will be saving money for more games to buy. During the break I will make entries on any interesting auctions I find and possibly make a Collectors guide to PAL Mega CD games, if you want to help me then contact me through RFG.

Bye

You should try and wait to bid.
Or if you do put in a bid earlier than the last couple hours (i tend to wait till final minutes) leave it EXTREMELY low. It generally helps keep the overall price of the auction down.

Congrats on the win Smiley

Nice find!
