Well I am about fully unpacked and moved into the new house. There is so much work to do to the house before I start really working on the mancave, but for now this is the layout. I eventually want to paint the walls and put down either wooden flooring or a penny pattern floor.
Its really hard to take a full picture of the room, so I took a few different pics.

This is about 1/2 way into the room on the right side.

Hopefully over the winter I will have the time to remodel this room the way it is meant to be, but until then, this is the setup.

Beautiful man cave. I'd go with some nice wood or laminate flooring. The walls and spindles on the built-ins have great retro style. I really like your organized layout and the setup looks incredible to play games in.

I love your setup!
|
I'm hoping to have something similar after my move. Great organization and impressive layout.
|
Is that an "Art Through the Ages" I see on your book shelf? I still mine from when I took art history in high school.
Great room! It's gonna be fun filling it with games.
|
I'm pleasantly surprised at how good it looks. As narrow as the room looked in the original pics, it looks great. Everything is clean, not crammed in, and very efficiently utilized.
|
looking good, just need to get the beer fridge in there

Thanks everyone, will keep you updated over the winter when I get to the major changes. The only thing I am a little disappointed in is we couldnt get the Arcade Cabinet through the doorway to get upstairs. Even when I took the door off the hinges, it is still the narrowest doorway I have ever seen. So it is sitting in the computer room along with my dvd collection. Den, yes that is indeed an Art Through the Ages book, I was a Graphic Design Major with a Photography minor so lots and lots of Art History Classes, kept most of the books because I dont mind reading through them every now and then. Seno, I actually have the mini fridge, its still in the basement and keep forgetting to bring it up. Im sure my friends will remind me again when they come over to play some 360 this weekend and they have to walk all the way to the kitchen to get a beer.

That is turning out very well - kudos!!
|
Very nice! I'm jealous!
When you run out of room you can yank out the spindles and make more shelving
|
@CKsGallery: If the full size arcade cabinet won't fit get one of the cocktail table versions.
|
The layout looks great! The room actually looks bigger than it did before, it seemed a lot more narrow before for some reason. And you've got plenty of room to expand with more shelving when the time comes, but until then you've got a nice open feel where everything isn't crammed together.
If you really want to get that arcade machine up there, you could always tear out that window and some of the wall, rent a scissor lift for a couple hours take the machine up with that and then carry it through the hole in the wall. That's basically how my sister got her bed in her house that wouldn't fit through the doorways.

Very cool looking space. Makes for a fantastic looking gameroom. I love it!!
|
Sweet setup! Should be lots of fun gaming up there!
