Started off the night with some Sky Shark and after exploding randomly several times it became quite obvious that I wasnt seeing many of the enemy bullets. I'll be resorting to my trusty VCR once again. I really need to pick up a better quality tape though, because my run of Metal Storm which I recorded the same way was pretty crappy quality.
Luckily I brought a few extra games along with me. Tried out some BreakThru on Tynstars advice. And what good advice it was. I would have been pissed had I payed full price for it when it was new. You are seeing my first play through of the game on the recording (aside from the 2 minutes I tested it after cleaning). Took me 30 minutes to complete, and part way through the game I realized how to use the jump more efficiently and could have dropped the time even more had I discovered that earlier.
Next up to bat was Commando. Unlimited continues meant it was just a matter of time and patience. It was a little rough at times, but I was able to finish it off it just under an hour. Stage 3 and 4 were both a bit of a pain, but with as many tries as I wanted I eventually eked my way through.
Last up tonight was Guerrilla War. Because of how the continue system was setup, start exactly were you dropped, this one was also a cake walk. After a bit I just started zooming through and taking full advantage of that system. Its probably one of the least interesting videos to watch since its just me running in a straight line and dying a lot.
Future Plans - I'm going to hold off on Sky Shark until I find another game or two that I need my VCR for. Not sure what I'm in the mood for next. Maybe some Ninja Gaiden or some sports compiliations.
