Not much this weekend. I had a very long hard week at work on the rigs in the oil fields of Wyoming and southern Montana, so I slept in for the most part of today. Went to a couple sales after work on Friday however and found a box labeled "Super with games - $10" I looked inside and saw a SNES, 2 controllers, the RF and A/V hook-ups, the A/C adapter, and Mario is Missing. When I took the box over to the gentleman, before I could even ask, he said three bucks because most of the games in the box had been stolen during the day. I gave him the three dollars and left. I really wanted to ask how many games he had in the box originally and what they were, but I restrained myself because I might have cried if he had said something like Earthbound or Super Mario RPG or Chrono Trigger.

Nice grab for $3. I'd have been curious what games also.

Nice score.
I can't believe people would steal the games from him though. For $10 it was already an excellent deal (perhaps a steal depending on what the games were), was it really necessary for them to steal them? The sad part is that they probably don't even have a SNES or want one, they probably just stole them to steal them.

I also wonder why the guy let them be stolen. He obviously knew people were stealing them throughout the day, why didn't he keep the box where he could see it?

@NES_Rules: That was something else on my mind too. He really didn't have much stuff, but he was the type to stay inside, even when he had customers.

@Boshamp: I hate people that do that. There have been times where I wanted to buy something (or at least get a price on it) but the people are no where to be found. If they don't come out after a couple minutes, I just leave the sale. I've even seen people who leave their cash box on the table outside while they're inside.

@NES_Rules: and I know not everyone is respectable enough to leave the box there...some people just plain amaze me. Common sense is far from common.

@Boshamp:Ditto.

Regardless, nice score for $3!!! Smiley

That's pretty bad security, why would you want to leave your stall other than to go to the toilet? Why didn't he have a friend to keep an eye on the stall?
