This week's gaming moment takes us back to the days of the Super Nintendo and its earliest pack in game. Even as a simple pack in game it took a life on of its own. Im sure every gamer can remember playing this title at one time or another. Please subscribe and comment on the channel as next week Im gonna work on putting a little give away for those who are subscribers to the channel.
I bought that Super Mario World/All Stars combo back in 1998 for around $30 at a game store. Kind of funny to think that it is around the same price now.
Like you said, I think that most people have a memory of this game, considering how iconic the game was. Personally I remember beating this game in a local Target, which was only mentionable because the game was on a five-minute timer (would reset itself every five minutes). I was unable to see the entire ending of the game until after I got my system out of layaway months after it was released. Still a great game to come back to every year.
I don't mean to bring the mood down (or get another chorus of "white peoples problems") but I'm so used to showing up at thrift stores with ~$6 that having $20 seems like a fortune. That's like ten jewel-cased or six boxed PC games at Salvation Army.
Not at all, I saw at the local good will a SNES for 60 with 2 controllers with 25% it would have been 45.00 I guess high end of Ebay Prices but way outta my zone. Yet the 4.00 games onsale for 3.00 got me mario world on the cheap. Heck the new bookshelf I got today from the good will was 2.50 after 75% off.
I think thrifting and garage saleing is the way to go IF you can find decent selection of items. Not everything will be a steal but some will be.
Mario is a great game and cant beat the game play
