Adam West) discuss one of Ninja Theory's early, third-person, action/adventure titles, Enslaved: Odyssey to the West. This month's Playcast flashes forward (...errr we kinda hope not) into dystopian America where humans are being "enslaved" by a mysterious source and our world has been taken over by blood-thirsty robots. Yeeeeeesh! In this episode, we talk about the gameplay mechanics, some "despicable" and yummy characters, the game's soundtrack, and pose our thoughts on Enslaved's ending. Did this game's sometimes glitchy tendencies muck up what could have been a great title? Did Rich's modern game skill shortcomings prevent him from finishing the game? And how does Shawn reeeeeeeeeally feel about "Hidden Gems?" The answers to these questions and many more in this month's episode of the RF Generation Playcast!
As always, we are happy to hear your thoughts on this game on our discussion page (linked below). We will respond to your comments and are always happy to discuss the game more. We hope you enjoy our show. Please be sure to rate and write a review of the show on iTunes to help us increase our listenership. Thanks for the listen!

Our yearly Pain Yourself With Submissions Contest kicks off in only a few days! To enter, from July 1st until July 31st, you make as many submissions as you can. Our database staff will review the absurd amount of submissions, and at the end of it all, one of you gets an awesome prize package, which includes your choice of $60 worth of gaming goodness. Essentially, you win a shopping spree (not to exceed $60 and items have to be game related) on GameGavel, eBay, or Amazon, and we pick up the tab. Of course, you'll also be the coolest kid in town as you strut around in your new, official RF Generation Ringer T-shirt. For official submission types and points and rules breakdown, see below. Best of luck to everyone!

This month's Playcast travels through Old World, European communities inhabited by humans and marvelous, mechanical, masterpieces called automatons. In this month's podcast, we take an in-depth look at Syberia's fantastic narrative, beautiful, steampunk art style, and its stripped down game mechanics. This title has received praise from point-and-click enthusiasts, but how does it set on the palates of our fine, gaming connoisseurs? Did this game's messages find their way into the hearts and minds of our participants, or are they simply muddled due to other shortcomings? And can the boys ever figure out how to line up a call correctly? The answers to these questions and many more in this month's episode of the RF Generation Playcast!

Where the NeoMagicWarrior magic happens...hey, I'm talking about video game magic you sicko! Welcome to the first installment of my new series where we take a look at some of our site members gaming spaces! I was overjoyed by the excited messages that I got from several of our members regarding this project and I hope that it will not only entertain, but make us closer as a community. I had several great ideas for titles for this series (thanks to bickman2k for the main inspiration), and I had a good number of members asking to be featured in upcoming months. Rest assured, if you contacted me or posted in the comments section regarding featuring your game room, I have you on my list and will contact you when your name is up.
During this series, I hope that you gain some new perspectives on game room and console set ups, storage ideas, and an insight on what makes each space work for its owner. And who knows, you may even want to steal borrow some ideas to implement in your game room, or future gaming area. I hope that you will participate in the comments section and interact with each owner by asking them questions or discussing the features that you like.

This month's Playcast ventures into a magnificent, limbo-like world of fantasy where a young lady struggles to get back to the world of the living and save her dying father. In this month's podcast, we take an in-depth look at Ubisoft's Child of Light. This title has received overwhelming praise from reviewers, but is it a meal fit for our finicky co-hosts' palates? What mechanics make the gameplay of this super, compact RPG so distinct? And even though they all scream, does anyone actually get any ice cream? The answers to these questions and many more in this episode of the RF Generation Playcast!

Based on the popularity of our series, The People of RF Generation, I thought that it might be nice to not only learn more about our members and their collecting history and habits, but also about their game rooms! Members will not only answer questions about their game room or gaming area, but will also give us a glimpse of their setup in pictures, or for the more adventurous, in video format.
The success of this series will rely on all of YOU, our members. I am currently looking for (1) a catchy title for this series, and for (2) volunteers who are willing to provide us with a visual slice of their gaming lives. I'd also like (3) suggestions as to what questions each member will be asked about their game room, so be sure to get these ideas in as soon as possible!
**if you would like to share your collection with the other members here at RF Generation, please send a PM to singlebanana and maybe one month your gameroom will be featured on our front page**

This month's Playcast crawls deep into the bowels of Hell to seek out and destroy it's formidable caretaker during March's site playthrough discussion of Diablo. One of Blizzard's first entries that helped establish the famed developer, Diablo thrilled fans of action/adventure RPGs during it's time. But, how does this game hold up after 20 years, and will this retro pick impress some of our more modern gaming centric hosts? How do the PC and PS1 versions compare, and which should you play? And does The Butcher still make us s#%t our pants just as he did in days of yore? The answers to these questions and many more in this episode of the RF Generation Playcast!

My favorite cartridge label for this game, since it best sums up the chaos within. SPECS: Game: Bobby Is Going Home Genre: Platformer Year: 1983 Publisher: CCE/Taiwan Cooper Developer: Bit Corporation Rarity (according to AtariAge): Undetermined Controls: Joystick Number of Players: 1 player Average Cost: approx. $5 - $15+ (depending on label variation) Also Available On: Only for the Atari 2600 or similar VCS consoles
Tagline/Description: "Bobby feels that the world is so beautiful. He feels his life [is] perfect. But this day as he [is] going home, he meets many strange troubles."
Just over two years ago, I wrote an article about how my Atari 2600 collecting had branched out of North America and into Brazil. To summarize, there are several Brazilian 2600 titles that were not released in North America, but are playable on NTSC based systems. Of the handful of games that I have acquired, one of my favorites is a little 2-D platformer called Bobby Is Going Home. Let's take a look!

Join RF Generation Playcast hosts, Rich (singlebanana), Shawn (GrayGhost81), and returning guest, Pam (host of Cannot Be Tamed and Media Mavens) as they discuss a lesser known title from a well-known developer. This month's Playcast plunges into Febrauray's site playthrough of Murdered: Soul Suspect, which was developed by Square Enix. Opinions of this game typically range from both ends of the spectrum, so how will our cast of gamers fall on it? Is it worth the few bucks a used copy commands, or are you better off leaving it on the shelf? Did Rich enjoy the overall narrative? Did Pam take issue with the combat? And did Shawn enjoy making little cat sounds? Be sure to tune in to this episode of the RF Generation Playcast to find out!
