This dual Wii Remote charger is going to run you $35-40 depending on if you buy it in stores or online. Strangely enough you can actually buy it cheaper in stores(≤$35) on the official website they sell for $40.
There are cheaper dual charge models available from Nyko and other 3rd Party developers as well as at least one single charge version available at GameStop
The rechargeable batteries are included, which seems to be the standard, as are new battery backs for the Wii Remote that allow you to recharge without removing the batteries. You will have to take off the silicone Wii Remote "condoms" if you use those but there is a small notch so you don't have to worry about removing wrist straps.
While the batteries are charging you get an orange light, once fully charged it glows green. Again pretty standard stuff.
All in all there is nothing new or unique or fascinating about the recharging system. After nearly 150 years I don't think they have changed much other than the battery compositions and their lifetime.
Before I wrap this up I have to add that this thing is sexy*. I have my system laying flat with the charging dock and it just looks with lines and curves and the glowing lights and of course the shining Energizer lettering.
So after a few days use the charger is working exactly as it should. It is charging, lights are glowing, batteries aren't dying. I highly HIGHLY recommend a rechargeable batteries regardless of what system you choose.
*That's right I said sexy got a problem with it? Everyone else has given my funny looks... but I can't see you guys and you guys can't see me! :-P
