RF Generation was founded on April 28, 2004, in no particular order, by Laurel Mateskovich, Michael Collins, Mark Hartholt, Eddie Herrmann, Mike Leon, and Rick Kuethe. Unsatisfied with the success of previous projects in the video game collecting community, these six people pooled their collective work together to create RF Generation, a group of collectors, gamers, writers, and programmers devoted to bringing the gaming community the best coverage of any and all things video games.

Currently, the staff of RF Generation is working on several projects, the most prominent of those being this very web site. As we collect and enter data and scans into our online database, we hope that RF Generation will become the most complete resource available on the internet for classic, neo-classic, and modern gamers alike. Other RF Generation projects will be announced as they come closer to fruition.

New and old, we are the staff of RF Generation, in alphabetical order.

I've been at RFG since the day of its founding, and my collecting habits have been pretty much the same. As a kid, the first video games in our house were for our Atari 400 computer, but my first true console (and all-time favorite) was the NES. I've grown up a video game player and have grown into a video game collector. This web site is my baby, and the fact that I can combine it with video games is truly a (small) dream come true. With classic video games in the world, "winner is [ALWAYS] YOU!"

I'm 36 years old and from the state of Michigan, home of the 2004 NBA World Champion Detroit Pistons. I have a wife (Carol), daughter (Allison), a dog (Stevie), and a fierce habit for collecting.

I collect anything and everything video game related. My first sytem was the Atari 2600, then the Commodore 64, then NES, then Genesis, then PS1. Then I decided I might as well try to get them all. Along the way I've been finding out just how much there is to get, but damn it's fun looking.

I'm particularly fond of the hunt. Thrift Stores, Flea Markets, Garage Sales, the bargain bins. I hit em' all.

I was born and raised in Cincinnati, and have known Mike (Nepenthean) since first grade. He told me about his site he was making, and I offered to help him out with it. Since then I've helped create practically all of the custom Perl scripts on the site (including the seach engine, game pages, etc.) and I helped Mike set up the new forum boards. I've been officially dubbed "The Black Perl" because of my work on the site, but I go by St0rmTK421 on the boards. I'm not really a big console gamer, as I never had many consoles growing up, but I enjoy playing both video and computer games whenever I get the time.

I was hatched in the Burgh in 1980. I'm a diehard yinzer and can frequently be found playing air hockey and Donkey Kong at Games N'At. I've been addicted to video games for as long as I can remember. My first system was Atari 2600 but the greatest moment in my life was the day my grandfather bought us an NES. I'll never forget the first time I played Super Mario Bros. at home. Whoa this is really happening!

I'm obsessed with Tiger handhelds. Currently working on trying to obtain every one released from 1987-1998. Eventually I'd like to have every game on the planet in my collection. Unless I continuously marry rich dudes and have em waxed I doubt that'll happen. For now I'm taking it one step at a time. To me it's more impressive to have one part of a collection completed or near complete than to have a little bit of everything.

I was born in 1988 in Springfield, MA. I have been hoarding all video game related stuff I got since around 1995, but really started collecting between 2000-2001.

The first systems I got where SNES on Christmas Eve from my Dad and Genesis on Christmas Day from my Mom.

I collect everything related to video games. Unlike some people who collect for a specific system or era, I just take what I can get my hands on: shipping boxes, store displays, promotional boxes, et. cetera. My bedroom is currently my game room so it's getting to be a tight squeeze.

I'm 21 years old and currently live in Belgium (although studying in the Netherlands, near the border). I've moved around a lot in my life, so I can't really say I'm from any place in particular. My first days of gaming began in Germany on the Amiga 500 and the many good games that accompanied it! After a little bit of Atari and Game Boy, I moved on to California where my brothers and I soon discovered the SNES and its addictive RPGs Thanks to some info from a SNES game, my NES collecting days began. It was never my intention to start collecting NES games, but before I knew it, I kept wanting more. After 2 years of collecting I took a very long break of 6-7 years, and just recently started collecting again a couple months ago. My primary focus at the moment is on NES accessories/memorabilia & pirated NES/Famiclones and carts. Some people collect to play, I collect to document!

I have been collecting for about 6 years now. Some of the systems I have are the ones I have had since my youth. I still have my original Atari 2600, Intellivision II and Sega Genesis.

My main focus is collecting Sega games but I will buy any CIB game if the price is right. I am probably the biggest complete game snob on the site.

I am 30 years old and live in Surprise Arizona with my wife (Kari) and our 7 pets. The animals are three dogs (Loki, Bartleby and Ramzi), two cats (Jere and Nick) and two birds (Midori and Peaches).
