SEGA has pretty much ported most of their games to digital sales, but its nice to see hidden gems getting ported too! Now they need to go ahead and port ToeJam & Earl to XBLA/PSN Tongue

I am fairly certain after Sonic Generations flopped and helped to kill SEGAs yearly projections they had announced they were going to divide the company into to primary divisions. One for developing phone/mobile device games and the other for console digital distribution titles.

I could have misinterpreted something but i am not going to be online long enough for me to bother fact checking.

Wow.  I had to check but you are completely right, Link.  No ToeJam on XBLA.  Seems like kind of a bonehead move if you ask me, especially since both of the 16-bit T&J games are on Steam.

Yup. they are even on the Wii's VC, but not PS3/360?

It's because SEGA doesn't own the rights to the ToeJam & Earl characters.

That would explain why the ToeJam games are one of the few titles not packed in with the "Sega Genesis Classics" packs.  Still, on the Steam page both the T&J games, characters, as well as the ToeJam & Earl Company are registered as a trademark of "Sega Corp."  There must be certain restrictions to the license.  I wonder what they are?
