If you want it just for the turbo option it isn't very good. The stick itself has a nice solid feel to it.

I have zero interest in turbo.

I want it because it's an interesting little controller. It pays a lot of homage to the VCS, which I'm a fan of. I suppose even if it's not a great controller, I feel like it's a nice looking decoration for the game shelf. So I won't feel ripped off.

Also, the spin control doesn't work on Tempest, the control it was designed for.

Woah, I've never seen that before! It looks like it would be kinda interesting to use both the joystick and the analog stick at the same time.
