I watched Redline last night. Amazing.

Today I watched Under the Skin with Mrs. Grayghost. It was a very beautiful movie that seems very simple but also seems like there are many ideas going on under the surface (or, let's say the skin). Definitely a movie where the plot can be described in a sentence or two, but the the analysis of what is going on between the lines can be extensive.

Hahaha, you know Mike, there's this thing you can get on the internet called PORN. I'm not sure if it's accessible in Canada, but it might be worth a shot.

Two weeks until the latest season of Air Crash Investigation drops... which is rumored to include the JFK Jr. crash.

Until then, I've been occupying my time with railroad disaster docs.

This one's particularly sensationalistic, especially with former Sheriff John Bunnell of World's Wildest Police Videos fame hosting and narrating it.

I have a backlog of movies I haven't posted about yet, here goes:

Metro - (1997) - C-
--> Very average movie with Eddie Murphey who plays a hostage negotiator.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug - (2013) - A
--> So the movie isn't at all faithful too the book, but at this point I don't care anymore. The spectacle is great, it still "feels" like Middle Earth, and the scene with Smaug is great if only for Bilbo's ad hoc titles for Smaug.

The Little Mermaid - (1989) - A-
--> Not as good as the Lion King, in my opinion. The songs are mostly fun but the movie doesn't have as much impact.

Het Varken Van Madonna - (2012) - C
--> Stupid Flemisch comedy.

Chicken Run - (2000) - A
--> Classic!

Iedereen Beroemd! - (2000) - C+
--> Could've been better but overall not horrible.

The Holiday - (2006) - B-
--> Turn mind off. Watch chick flick. Have a drink.

Persuasion - (2007) - B+
--> Not a bad rendition of the classic Jane Austen novel.

The Ballad of Jack and Rose - (2005) - B
--> This film pretends to be more than it is, imo.

Northanger Abbey - (2007) - B
--> Felicity Jones is a prettier girl than Sally Hawkins in Persuasion, but her performance is less impressive. There isn't as much depth to her character though, so she has less to work with.

Amelia - (2009) - B
--> Movie about the (adult) life of Amelia Earhart.

Since i've been doing things that require more than a few minutes of attention here and there i haven't been watching much on Netflix.

Men in Black 3 - Hadn't seen it yet. Was great.

Guardians of the Galaxy - Just as good the second time around. Really glad i saw this in theaters though.

Riddick - Wish i had seen this in theaters. Was fantastic.

A bunch of kids movies R got for Xmas. Was shocked at how in some instances i remembered them word for word (like Ducktales)

Also been Watching Locked Up Abroad.
Season 5 was pretty lame. Season 6 is meh.

A new season of Air Crash Investigation / Mayday commences with the Concorde crash.

IIRC this was the only fatal crash, or significant accident of any kind, in the entire operational life of the Concorde.
