Man that game turned into a nail biter. The 6A team got two quick scores to tie the game at 35 all. My team then marches down the field to score a touchdown with 6 seconds left in the game. Then they missed the extra point. The defense stopped two late plays including a failed pitch a thon to seal the win.

Final score 41-35.

Finished season 3 of Game of Thrones, for fuck's sake you kind of wish some characters would succeed, or that something...good...would happen.

Also watched the first episode of Orange is the New Black, was good but I have no idea where the show can go, seems like it will get stale.

Watched Lincoln, really good. Like, disturbingly good. Campiness and Spielbergisms aside, I'm not sure anyone involved in making it knew what they were doing, but they did it all the same. It's the story of this country pushed to the brink, and the single man who kept it from toppling off by whatever means necessary.

Grosse Pointe Blank - (1997) - B
==> Not a bad comedy. I liked it.

The Da Vinci Code - (2006) - B-
==> Believe it or not, I've never seen this movie before. I didn't find it that special. I hear the book is better though. The ending was a bit predictable. I know this movie was a big deal when it came out, but meh.

The Talented Mr. Ripley - (1999) - A
==> Great movie. Liked it a lot. Jude Law is a bit of an ass in this one. Why are women in movies set in the near past always so beautiful? I mean, more than usual. It has to be the classic haircuts I guess.
Spoiler (hover to show)

Wonder Man - (1945) - C+
==> Musical comedy. The final scene is pretty good.

(The) Sea Wolf - (2009) - A
==> Not actually a movie, but a two-part mini series. Really liked this a lot more than I anticipated. A lot of the boat scenes seem realistic. It isn't that clear whether or not they were shot in the open sea or in some sort of aquatic backlot.

City Hall - (1996) - C-
==> Not that great. Some clichés, some corrupt cops and city officials. The story is too much cookie cutter to convince. John Cusack isn't as interesting in this as he was in Grosse Pointe Blank.

Bachelor Mother - (1939) - B+
==> Solid comedy of the golden era. Starring Ginger Rogers and David Niven. This is one of Rogers first movies after she quit making dancing movies with Fred Astaire. There's only a small dance scene in this movie.

Watched Room 237 on Netflix. It's a documentary about theories of interpretation about Kubrick's The Shining and in so being becomes a very fascinating study on humanity.

I actually thought 7 was the best season since the first 4. I would consider skipping 8 though. Just write some fan fiction or something, would be much more fulfilling.
