I've been watching Flight of the Conchords on DVD lately. Funniest current show on TV. Makes me wish I got HBO.

Yeah, I do have the internet, but it leaves nothing to look forward to for when  the DVD comes out.

Just saw Slumdog Millionaire. Great movie, I imagine it winning oscars.

Same here, it's a wonderful performance by Ledger and in general all of the acting is great; but it does seem to depreciate in quality after that first theater viewing.

Cloverfield

OK/Pretty good. The first twenty minutes were too long. After that I think it flowed fairly well. Something I didn't like was someone being pulled off a spike through their chest then moments later they were running around.

Don't forget that all of them, outside of the pilot of course, survived a helicopter crash. The camera managed to remain undamaged. The cameraman was then 'bitten' by the huge creature, who for some reason just dropped his dead, unmutilated body back to the ground. Again, the camera was undamaged. Then the main character risks life and limb to rescue the camera before they sprint away from the monster.

This was just one of the many issues I had. Even for a movie about a huge, destructive creature, this was so far fetched and unbelievable that I just couldn't enjoy it.

Watched yesterday on my day off:

Fire in the Sky - Not bad, slow, but cool alien scenes.

Martian Child - Pretty good, very dramatic.

Resident Evil: Degeneration - I enjoyed it, I could see why some people wouldn't. I didn't go into it expecting much.
