just finished....

Corridors Of Blood:  Monsters And Madmen:  The Criterion Collection - (1958) - B-

Reason for score -- a good movie in the set, but, i just don't think this set needed to be in the criterion collection....

Yeah...you wonder about some of the movies they pick...

Just watched:

Monsters Inc (2001)

Thought it was fun, classic Pixar movie. Toy Story (both of em) is still my favorite though.

You have to love Pixar.  They truly know how to make amazing movies....haven't seen Wall-E yet though.

I wasn't planning on seeing Ratatouille in theaters, but I did and was blown away.  Fantastic movie (I have the DVD and the Blu-Ray.)  I love it A LOT!

Wall-E was good but for the fact that the story was pretty lame if you looked at it closely.

Cute though.

just watched....

The Haunted Strangler:  The Criterion Collection - (1958) - B

Reason for score -- this set seemed more like an Eclipse set than a Criterion set....

Last night I watched Juno - Bleh. Too much like Napoleon Dynamite, although Juno was better.

Then I watched the newish Rocky. Halfway through I couldn't remember what the story was, so I decided it didn't have a story. Afterwards it became aparent it was a 5 minute story padded out with lots of shooting and explosions. Luckily, Stallone didn't have many lines because he's a grunt.

Hardened war veteran tries to make an honest living. Mercenaries apear and ask "the best" guy for the job to take them into a war zone. The blonde woman finally pursuades him to do it. They get attacked. Hardened war veteran takes soldiers in to recover the mercenaries. Hardened war veteran saves everybody.
The End.
PS. Some people died.

Yesterday I watched:

Bean (1997): Some good jokes, but mostly lame.
For Love or Money (1993): Better than Bean, mostly because of Michael J. Fox's performance.
Spy Hard (1996): Espionage spoof with Leslie Nielsen. Thought it was funny. (Just saw it got 5% on rottentomatoes...pfft. If the only good movies are those where you cry and feel miserable afterwards, then I don't like movies)
