with A Scanner Darkly....the movie was kind of hard to follow, but it really came together in the end, plus it uses a very unique "filming" method....i don't know what else to call it...

today i watched the following (as it was my last day before going back to my part time job and second to last day before starting up grad. school for the semester, so i plowed through a few more movies....still trying to get caught up on my back log)....

Birth Of A Nation, the first American full-length motion picture, 1915 movie, black and white, silent, and 192 minutes long (Yes, 3 hours and 12 minutes).....decent movie that I hadn't seen before...gives a pretty big insight into the climate of the south during this time period during and after the Civil War.....

Feast, a pretty crappy bloodfeast / horror movie.....

Sin City, an excellent story, decent acting, and a unique use of color / black and white......

watched the following wednesday night.....

Johnny Mnemonic (1995) - B+

Reason for score -- classic futuristic computer / technology movie with Keanu and some cheesy graphics....

watched the following last night....

Psycho - Collector's Edition (1998) - D+

Reason for score -- I never saw the original, but this one had to be worse....probably some of the worst acting I've seen in a while, and Vaughn was terrible in this one....

The Fast And The Furious (1954) - C

Reason for score -- just your normal, predictable good girl falls in love with the bad guy who is really a good guy......nothing special, and not really anything like the popular recent times remake / film of the same title......

watched the following tonight....

Rest Stop (2006) - D-

Reason for score -- pretty dumb movie.....I hate supposed horror movies that 1) aren't scary and 2) the people in them do stupid stuff that gets them killed (instead of doing what any normal person would do to stay alive)....

Hollow Man 2 (2006) - C-

Reason for score -- nothing great....nothing the first one didn't do......

The Ice Harvest (2005) - B-

Reason for score -- just wasn't a very convincing movie....

He makes a good hitman in Grosse Pointe Blank though.

I've seen the preview for The Ice Harvest a million times, and that makes it look good. But from all I hear that's not quite the case.

Last night I "watched" (had on while I played WoW) the Big Lebowski for like the 5th time in as many nights.

just watched

Breakfast At Tiffany's - Anniversary Edition (1961) - D+

Reason for score -- I don't know what the appeal of this movie is....the acting was subpar, the story was mediocre at best, and I just didn't feel any emotion....

just watched

National Lampoon Presents Lost Reality 2: More Of The Worst - Unrated (2005) - C+

Reason for score -- for being disgusting, horrible, racist, disturbing, and just play awful, it was kind of funny

THe last episode of the X-files.  It took me months, but I have watched every single episode, and I only have about half an hour left until I've completed the greated TV show if all time.  I feel like Fei from Xenogears finishing the painting of Elly. :*(
