It's an epidemic with people buying them just to profit.  I've been seeing both PS4's and XBox Ones on my local CL (Southeast MO/St. Louis) going for around $600-$700.  The highest one so far I've seen was a PS4 that the idiot wanted $1600 for.  I just wanna slap each and every one of these greedy morons over and over until there's some sense literally knocked into them.

The trick is to email them saying you are  interested then give them each others numbers  and askin they contact you.

This Atari 2600 system works perfectly. I have just played It today, without any problems. All of the games have been played in the last couple of months, and work as well.

 q-bert
 combat
 
some collectors would like to continue their atari collection, I hope to peddle to those parties.

It's really sad to keep seeing the same people trying to peddle the same overpriced crap in the video game section here on CL.

"Durr durr hurr, I have a original Nintendo with Mario. Dis is super rare guyz! I want $100 for it!"

No dumbass, it's not rare. There millions of those things, and most of them don't work for shit unless you replaced the 72-pin, and even then they aren't worth $100.

Rockford has long been tapped out in the "retro" game market, considering there's groups of fat neckbeards out there that stalk Half Price Books and garage sales full time for games to add to their hoard because they don't have a real job.

I got news for you, with everything going digital release, pretty soon that "gold mine" you think you have isn't gonna be worth jack shit and you're gonna cry in your crumb-specked neckbeard when you try to unload your pieces if plastic that aren't worth the cartridges they're printed on.

in the meantime neckbeards, keep trying to price gouge everyone with your worthless crap, and good luck getting $100 for that NES, hahahaha!!

Craigslist is bad in Denver and the metro area too, even Goodwill and other thrift stores want 7.99 for PS2/XBOX/GC games and prices "Retro" stuff individually based upon online prices. On some items they even take screenshots of EBay auctions, print them out, tape them to the item, and price it juuuuuuust under the EBay price.
