Tryinf to submit an alternate publisher version of Wonder Boy :The Dragon's Trap on PS4. The Play-Asia version but all I get is "This variation appears already in the database for the selected Entry." yet when I look for it I can't find it.

That's a glitch that happens for some reason. Submit with an extra letter in the title and the system will accept it. Just make sure to note it.

Problems related with type of software/hardware in Sega Saturn Virtua Gun accessory

This
http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=E-060-S-00920-B -> House of the Dead, The [Virtua Gun Bundle]
http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=E-060-S-02150-B -> Virtua Cop [Virtua Gun Bundle]
http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=E-060-S-02160-B -> Virtua Cop 2 [Virtua Gun Bundle]

This 3 are in the database as software, but they should be treated like they also need to be in Hardware as a variation of:
http://www.rfgeneration.c...fo.php?ID=E-060-H-00020-A -> Virtua Gun

They all have the UPC from the Virtua Gun accessory bundle, they should be moved to They should have an hardware entry with the following names
Virtua Gun [House of the Dead Bundle]
Virtua Gun [Virtua Cop Bundle]
Virtua Gun [Virtua Cop 2 Bundle]

Edit: It's no problem to have the software game as bundle, but it could also have a Hardware entry, will investigate this, and submit

This Megadrive game and is european variations should have a different game rating of BBFC

Equal to this MegaCD game:
http://segaretro.org/File...cers2_MCD_EU_Box_Back.jpg

Until now it's the first Mega drive game I found with this, maybe it was an Australian import, don't know.

Is it possible to change the setting for just this game? It's not a problem at all, it's just to be accurate.

That's not an Australian logo, that's a BBFC rating logo which is still used today. Oddly enough I can't seem to find evidence that LE II was released in Europe other than Portugal and the UK, every copy I've seen has the BBFC rating and I've never seen it for sale by European mainland sellers.

As for changing regions, I think that function's only limited to database editors and above.

I don't think anyone can change regions.

A change of region is in reality creating a duplicate in the correct region. Copying all data and images. Moving over collection info and then deleting the old one

Just had a look at that lethal enforcers ii. That is obviously a BBFC logo on it. However it does have the multiple European languages which is what we generally use to determine which countries to assign it to. Wouldn't be unheard of for a UK certification to be stuck on a pan-European release back in the day (this is before PEGI was introduced and I believe ratings were optional).

The database is thankfully moving away from generic European releases so really the game should at least be assigned to each of the countries corresponding to the languages on the box. This would make more sense with e.g. Toze's Portuguese specific releases. But then just about every mega drive game in the database is set to European so would be a huge job for someone to update that without much real payoff. It's more relevant for non-Sega releases where every country would get its own variant.

Eheh Portugal is a very small country but it's in mainland Europe.
It was sold here, and I have photos of the game with Portuguese labels and manual, that I will submit soon.

I saw that the Euro variation already have the bbfc rating, but not the Portuguese.
Also the Portuguese games always comes with game rating , like this "CE +3" .

Agree, for Sega retro games, except the dreamcast, I would say that 95% of the games titles have an European region wide variation. So going to change all that to only the languages of the box isn't the most correct and will be a huge job.
There are some games that had translations for German, because Germany was a big market, besides that most of the games are in English, and some could have French and Spanish to choose.
In Portugal we get a lot of repack in that time, made by Ecofilmes, so we get imports from the Pal , genesis and also a Japanese game that came with an adaptor. Most of then have repackaged box, reprinted or with stickers with Portuguese description, rating, part# and some with Portuguese UPC. In some cases it's a great confusion, but I'm working on that with others Portuguese collectors.
Even now we have repackaged games by ecofilmes, now it's ecoplay, because they have the rights for square enix, Sega, konami, and others.

Please delete this entry: http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=U-016-S-04921-A

It's actually a duplicate of its variation.

I know that, I didn't imply that it wasn't Tongue I was just saying that I've never seen the main European release for sale outside the UK.

These two entries for Metal Gear Rising Revengeance look identical in the search results, one of them should have a variant title. They aren't duplicates because one has a different UPC but i'm not sure which one is the variant.

An approved variation of mine doesn't seem to be present. It is Diablo Battle Chest (Diablo II bundle) with link http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=U-016-S-04921-A This variation only includes Diablo II, and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.

This is different than Diablo Battle Chest which included Diablo, Diablo II, and Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.
