Seriously? Cry

Technically, the cartridge is a Game Boy cartridge with "support" for the Game Boy Color palette, but I wasn't aware they did different packaging. I'm scared for the Game Boy/Game Boy Color Europe database now, as they had a lot of mixed releases.

Pretty much the release year should be a good giveaway. The GBC branding I believe is on every game released 99 and later   But additions should not be being made without verification from a total package.

THANKS NINTENDO FOR THE MULTIPLE YEARS OF OVERLAP FOR EVERY HANDHELD SYSTEM! Luckily everything else had unique media formats.

Luckily, the games themselves have individual Part #s. It's just the console that's wrong.

Looks like 2001 was when they finally started putting the GameBoy Color bubble carts into production
Actually no, the clear carts were there from the beginning. Clear carts are GBC-only carts while black carts are dual-mode.

Gotcha

Luckily, the games themselves have individual Part #s. It's just the console that's wrong.

No the black cart Color games are DMG only the Clear/Bubble carts have CGB as the part number prefix. Unless Apollo knows otherwise.

There are fewer than 500 released Gameboy color games (barring the variants).
Now that people are aware of it they know how to properly research to make sure they are not adding/approving games incorrectly.

It looks like Apollo is fixing a lot of them right now. Thanks!
I meant exactly what you said - DMG carts are the dual and CGB are Color-only, much like DS and DSi games had separate Part # prefixes.

not sure why but while uploading some stuff last night i noticed a lot of extra media links didn't have a
Code:
<br />
tag before them, so two links were on the same line. whoever just approved the images on this page:

http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=U-016-S-04200-A

it happened with those extra media scans too, not sure if it's the approver's fault or the site doing something, but i submitted them the same way i always have. i'd just rather not have to keep submitting page edits for something that should be right the first time Wink

GameFAQs says 1987, which is why I suspect it's listed as 1987. Looks like a few sources say 1986, and MobyGames hilariously states 1984 (2600 release date). I'll look at it in a bit.
I'm actually fairly positive 1987 is the correct release year. I've got some internal Atari sales docs that were shared on AtariAge by Curt Vendel years ago, and Gremlins didn't even show up in the 1986 sales figures (which went from January 1 of that year to January 1, 1987).

Here's an issue I can't edit: There are a couple of outlying entries under Tiger Handhelds that are listed as Hardware rather than Software. Only one of them is an actual accessory.

We're working on a method to transfer between databases for Staff members. For now, you have to make a new submission under the appropriate database.

I believe this entry might be mistaken.  I think the game was released as WiiU-ware on the eShop, not as Wii-ware, as listed.

Moved to Nintendo eShop. Thanks!

Needs "Road to the Final Victory" added to the name.

EDIT: Technically, the series is "Garou Densetsu" or "Garō Densetsu", depending on the version of the Hepburn spelling you use, in Japanese. I updated the name to reflect the Japanese translation, and added the American title to the Alt Title.

The sku for SNK Arcade Classics vol 1. is missing a few numbers:
http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=U-072-S-17160-A

2886220022  >> 828862200228

Should this be a submission instead of posting it here?

Yeah, that's just a submission fix. Feel free to submit the fix and claim your credit for it.
