Sadly, I've encountered this a bit recently as well if a "Best Seller" type title is in the database already. Please put either an extra letter or two in the title or a variation title (e.g. Original), and put in the Submission Comments that it's the original version and shouldn't have a Variation Title.
Here's the Xbox Classics version in the DB, for reference:

Ah, that worked.
It's sitting in my submission queue now.
There's also more items in my submissions that haven't been approved yet.

Think that's intentional, based on whether or not the person has it in multiple folders with the "Owned" attribute.
In this particular case, the person has it in their "Collection" folder and a "PS-2" folder.

Whoever approved this changed the console to Nintendo DS. This is a Nintendo Wii game, and I submitted it as such...
It is pretty strange looking at a "DS" game released on a Wii Optical Disc.

Weird ... I approved it, but not sure how it changed to DS unless it automagically changed when I pulled the wrong variation. Go ahead and resubmit it. Thanks.

Resubmitted. Let's hope that doesn't happen again.
EDIT: Also, I think I just figured out how it may be possible to set the media format to anything on any console... I'm tempted to test it, but I don't want to mess up the DB.

Thanks! Should be good now. I didn't add the wrong variation tie.

Demo scans should likely be a separate release.

This should be listed as Game Boy and not Game Boy Color

Same with the Japanese variant listed next to it. Incidentally, GameFAQs has it listed completely wrong too, including having scans of the Game Boy Parker Bros. version on it.

You sure? That's a black cartridge and the box for that game has the GBC logo on it, I'm absolutely sure that listing is correct.

Is it a dual mode game? It's in a normal Game Boy cart not a Game Boy Color one.

Correct it is GBC. Project N and Shadow are wrong.
Example:
http://www.rfgeneration.c...069-S-02720-A&type=bf
With the GB/GBC games unless you know what you are looking for you can easily make the mistake since MANY GBC carts were not labeled as Color unless you have the full package. In fact i would be willing to bet fewer have Game Boy Color on the cart than Game Boy.
Again here:
http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=U-069-S-02830-A
No mention of Color unless you own the whole package.
One more for good measure
http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=U-069-S-02190-A
Looks like 2001 was when they finally started putting the GameBoy Color bubble carts into production and by that time the system was already being phased out by the GBA
