I would say keep UK on there for consistency. I get what Raidou is saying but we need consistency within consoles. With PS4 we do flags/box languages = countries

Using box languages/flags is a very useful guideline, especially for those "Not for Sale  in the UK" variants you see floating around.  If there is no other reference point on the cover, then assuming English = UK is a reasonable compromise.  That said, it should not be used as an absolute rule, as there are usually other pieces of information that lets us know where a variant was/was not sold.  A lot of variants sold in Scandinavia or the Netherlands use English language covers (sometimes exclusively), but can be identified as Scandinavian/Dutch through other means.

Similarly, French language on covers can sometimes mean it was sold in France, sometimes Belgium, sometimes Switzerland.  French also appears on Middle Eastern variants (which are also PEGI-rated).  It is incredibly easy to tell if a game was or was not sold in France, so assuming French = France is kinda silly.  German also is not confined to Germany, but we can tell whether or not a variant was sold in Germany due to the USK.

I understand the need for a consistent set of rules, but we still need to be mindful of accuracy of data.

I add this game but there is a missing language i can't identify, can someone help on here?

http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=E-189-S-00961-A

About the manual, is on disc or online, so no photo to add, correct?
That language on the bottom of the description looks like Hebrew, so I'm wondering if this was released in Israel as well. Israel isn't part of the European region so it'll have to be added to the region list.

That's definitely Hebrew.  Also, when adjusting regions, UK should probably be removed as a country-- this variant would not have been sold in England.

So can someone add Israel there, or I need to make a new entry for israel?

About UK, i think there is a need to have a definitive rule, last time I checked the country are for the languages/flags on the cover. But there is also games  that only have english, that iI add as UK and they are not to be sold in UK, what to do in this cases? Should this be Eurowide region with variation title (not to be sold in UK) maybe this is the more correct way for this cases.

like this 2:
http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=E-072-S-00962-A
http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=E-072-S-20280-A

Please don’t add it europewide. Europewide is reserved for games that were only sold in one version across multiple european countries. For example the special editions of most Nintendo games.

I would say keep UK on there for consistency. I get what Raidou is saying but we need consistency within consoles. With PS4 we do flags/box languages = countries

We still need to sort that by console guide don’t we

So just to finalize this:
What to do with the Epic mickey Vita release?? Should be created the same entry for Israel? What are the rule nowdays for the same game being sold in different regions?

Another question for modern games (for me modern games are >2000 ehehe)
this case they define the country basead on the online short manual and cover language (UK), is correct?
http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=E-189-S-00670-A

I have a copy of this that have in the cover Portuguese and Spanish descriptions (not english) and the online manual are the same, so by that rule the country list is the same, except without UK, because is not on the online manual or cover.

And also have the Portuguese/Spanish variant of this game
http://www.rfgeneration.c...nfo.pl?ID=E-189-S-00800-A

But in this case the country is the language of the cover only, and do not care about the flags on the online manual.
So it's not consistent entries in this two cases.

We need to add Israel to the European countries list.

Isn’t Arabic more likely to be Saudi Arabia or UAE? Israel would be Hebrew surely?

The language on the cover is Hebrew, not Arabic.

That said, UAE should probably be in the Europe list as well.

That's correct, my fault calling arabic, and not hebrew. I was hopping to be armenian language, but checked and it's for sure Hebrew.

One thing is to really know if this was released in Israel or it was released in other countries in Europe that have significant Hebrew speakers community, like France and Germany.

Maybe should be created a Eurasia Region...

I would say just add Israel under the Europe region in the same way Australia is under Europe and well as being in its own region. We’ve got to try and keep some level of simplicity

Maybe Europe region should be based on Eurovision entrants 😆

I think the best way to differentiate between these is variants for UPC/EAN differences. If the same UPC/EAN was sold in multiple regions, they should be listed as a worldwide release.

Just to clean some past things that got forgotten, could be added a Worldwide region for PS2??

Should the newer amiibo release really be region free at this point?  I submitted some as NA but really they are packaged for a bunch of regions including Japan.

IMO, No.

Japan and North America use the same stock (USZ coded), but Europe and Australia still use different stock (EUR coded).  Most of the stuff I'm seeing on the South American market is also EUR coded, so USZ is a far cry from worldwide.
