no, I will not try something that will certainly kill me, not even once.
Then why would try smoking, even once?

Sure, that one cigaretty won't kill you. But they all count and they are all harmful. Plus, you run the risk of getting addicted and then that one cigarette can suddenly make a lot of difference.

Addicted from one cig? Holy crap keep the cough medicine and Pepsi away from this one. Roll Eyes

Never underestimate the power of drugs.

Never have, never will. The second-hand smoke inflicted upon me by those who feel it is their right to sit down next to me then light one up is enough smoke for me thanks.

A link for current smokers however Wink

Hmmmmm I like that Euro box art better than the US one.
Also that clip was awesome.

I have tried quitting a few times but somehow i keep getting jobs were everyone smokes or most people smoke so i find myself being given cigs even when i am trying to quit. Because they think i couldn't afford them for one reason or another.

You don't want to sell me death sticks.

For shame.

You were already past the hardest part of quitting.
I don't think i have been able to make it more than a week or 2 when i quit.

I'm cutting back because almost 20$s every couple days is 2x what i was spending in Texas.

Did one drag of my mom's Kools, and that pretty much did it for me as a smoker.

Well, there was that dalliance with a certain other smokable substance...

Man you guys are a bunch of wussies.
We can buy more games than you, ha ha. Tongue

(I mean with the money we save from not buying smokes, obviously)

Now if there's one reason to quit, it's the expense.

If you're lucky, you might be able to find the fly-by-night stuff for $3.50 a pack around my neck of the woods. But the usual going rate is about $5 a pack.

If ya really wanna kill yourself slowly, do it the cheap way: with sugar, high fructose corn syrup, and empty-calorie carbohydrates.

Marbs are 8 bucks a pack here. I quit cold turkey for about 6 months.(When i was working)
Started again when i got laid off and was stressed out.(My pay just got cut by 75%. I am stressed... I'll co spend ~8$s on a pack of smokes.)
I have been weaning myself off again (because i no longer have a source of income) hopefully i can kick them for good.

Wow, it got really tense in here for a moment.  Me, quit around 1997, not because of the price (about $2.50 a pack) but due to some strange pains in my chest.  My poison of choice?  Camel Turkish Blend.  Mmmm.

The funny thing is that I didn't smoke all that long (on and off from 1994 to 1997, with the last six months literally smoking my paycheck away at five packs a day), but I still think about them.  Hate the smell of them lit, but love the smell of a freshly opened pack.  This is partly the reason I never pay for gas inside but rather at the pump.  Something to think about for all you non-smokers.
