Not saying you should all be on like five packs a day or anything. But I'll be damned if I won't try something at least once.

So you would have no problem trying jumping off a skyscraper at least once?

Man you guys are a bunch of wussies.
We can buy more games than you, ha ha. Tongue

(I mean with the money we save from not buying smokes, obviously)
Quit drinking too and you can buy even more!

I'll be damned if I won't try something at least once.

Cigs and alcohol just pair up so well together don't they?

You're missing an option.
No i am not. I don't want anyone to self incriminate. And actually i would be missing many options if that were the case :-P

The experience would probably be fun till it ended.
Worth it?

To expand on that a little more, if I were given the opportunity to base jump off a skyscraper with a parachute, yes I would probably do it. But as the witty little remark that it was, no, I will not try something that will certainly kill me, not even once.

Then why would try smoking, even once?

Sure, that one cigaretty won't kill you. But they all count and they are all harmful. Plus, you run the risk of getting addicted and then that one cigarette can suddenly make a lot of difference.

Addicted from one cig? Holy crap keep the cough medicine and Pepsi away from this one. Roll Eyes

I used to smoke many years ago, a fun accessory to alcohol while in the army. Back then it was mostly du Maurier Regular, Export A Green (Green Death) or Players Navy Cut unfiltered. I was also an accomplished roller Wink so I was no stranger to handrolling one whenever I felt like it. I still enjoy a cigar from time to time, it just feels right with whiskey or scotch. Also Cuban cigars aren't illegal here so one doesn't have to settle for anything less than the best.

Actually if someone only smoked a couple cigs a month or even just a pack a year it would increase their lungs health.
It damages the lungs slightly and then forces them to heal themselves which can help fight off various infections.

I am actually surprised cig companies haven't tried to use this as a marketing idea.

Where have you heard this?
Your lungs are not like your hands where calluses build up to protect against damage.

The way it was explained to me is that the smoke causes the lung to be damaged which then kicks it into overdrive to repair itself.
Constant exposure by being a regular smoker won't give the lungs time to repair to their previous state. But smoking very infrequently will put your lungs into the repair overdrive more often.

As far as the callus comparison a callus is not the skin healing from damage it is the skin thickening because it has reached the point just before damage.

I guess a somewhat better comparison ts more like injecting a dead virus to work the bodies antibody defenses up.
