I saw this and was utterly confused.
Then i saw it was shipping out of Thailand. Which made a little more sense.
But the Pico is still a 15-20 year old system and that box has Jirachi and Pulsle and Minun on it which is only 5 or so years old (if memory serves.)
Very strange indeed:

Interesting.  I have never understood the Pico anyway.  It must have sold a lot more in Japan then the US but the titles they release there didn't all seem targeted at preschoolers like the ones here.  I have seen some amine titles that looked more like a teen title then anything else.  My kids would have loved a Pokemon game on their Pico when they played it.

Anything Pokémon-related without Nintendo's seal all over the thing = fake. Tongue

The Pico in Japan i think was targeted from kids up to young teens.
Though i have heard there were "adult" titles released for it i don't know how much truth there is in that.

IMO the Pico really was not a bad system. Just a bit ahead of its time. It was (technically)superior in many ways to the childrens consoles that are out now. Or from what i have seen of them.

I agree with Izret101 look at when the pico came out...many people considered VG systems as just another way for kids to skip homework and kill brain cells (ok maybe that hasnt changed) and the Vtec systems at the time did little more than teach math and abc's then all of the sudden sega pops up with the edutainment system that taught kids while they played?! It was to insane to make since back then.
Of course here we are 15 or so years later with moms buying Wii's so they can loose weight.

Never mind Pico when it came out it is still just as good if not better than the current edutainment consoles as far as graphics/userinterface/sound quality is concerned.

If your going to use games as a teaching aid it helps if the words are spoken clearly and the colors arn't bled out or bland.
