I feel the same way about Rally games in North America. Instead of games like WRCs 2 to 5, Colin McRae 2005 Plus, we get NASCAR. Sorry folks, but going around in circles left turning for hours just doesn't boil the blood like a Scandinavian flick on a narrow dirt trail or ice at high speeds. Smiley
I didn't know you guys don't get all the Rally games, that sucks too.

You're right about NASCAR and the likes, it's just plain dumb. I've got this game called Indycar 2005 (it was free) and it's the most boring racing game I've ever played. Tongue

At least Indycar racing has both right and left turns for variety. laugh

Ha, yes! Except replace 'RPGs' with 'games' and 'NA' with Europe
Lol, another one that is so true.

Now, I'm not saying NA gets every game out there but Europe really got it worse. There are a ton of Japanese games that make it to NA, yet Europe seems to be one bridge too far. I really don't get it. Why release Chrono Trigger in NA but not in Europe? Why, damn it! It doesn't make any sense at all. If you're going to translate it to English for NA, why not bring it out in Europe as well? All you need to do is write a manual with most European languages in, that's it, the game stays in English anyway. Sad
The catch is, there's a number of games that both Japan and Europe get that we either dont get at all or only get after the game has been butcherd to death.  Beatmania comes to mind.  A number of RPGs also.  Yeah, the number of games that we get that you dont come to mind but you do get a surprisingly large number of games we dont.  Besides, you got CT on the DS now.  Better late then never I'd guess.

GTA lovers, I don't understand why people think GTA IV is an epic title, it's just GTA 3 with a graphic update, more vehicles and people to kill. Not to forget it's over offensive  grrr

And that's why GTA IV was great, because GTA 3 was great.

GTA IV is awesome people, and not liking it is not a real peev  nono

My peev is when I join a live game like L4D only to be booted out. There are settings for public or friends only game  but aren't being utilized.
Also, the graphical glitches in L4D are really getting to me. It's cool to see zombie faces on walls and dog food bags on doors  etc but when i get puked on by a boomer it's total blindness until the vomit wears off COMPLETELY.  Angry

Eh, GTA 3 was fun for a few days. So not surprisingly I don't like the same game now even with its face lift.

Yeah, the graphical glitches to Left for Dead are a real pain. It is also something we weren't aware of until we actually played the game as it only seem to get praise.

Well a massive pet peeve of mine is when sequels have different actors/voice actors. It's why I've never touched a Telltale Games title. Mind you that isn't just for games but movies/cartoons... anything.

My pet peeve?  And I have to say that agree with the spike on prices with classic gaming gear.  It's reached a ridiculous level.  I agree that NA doesn't always get games that would push a game system...the Saturn and Dreamcast quickly come to mind with that.  I also agree that gamers who have the latest and greatest are ignoring those that paved the way for what we have now.  Whether they "sucked" or not they still made it possible for the consoles and games we have now.

But my number one pet peeve is probably a personal one, and I'm probably going to be starting a war, but the negative reviews the 5200 has received.  I'm not saying it didn't have its fair share of problems and that Atari didn't make a mistake with it.  It's just that most of the reviews I've found compare it to a modern day console or a system that was released after it.  No, it wasn't backwards compatible with the 2600 games...it didn't need to be...there were, and still are, 2600s for that.  And, granted, the standard controller was not the best made but it did offer full analog controls.  My system has been with me for 30 years and still works.  It still has one controller still working that came with the system...the second controller died when I was a kid; it got sat on by a family friend (some friend, eh?).  My 360?  Dead after 6 years and after performing at least two rebuilds.  I know not all 5200s found are still in working condition, at least not 100%, but for what it was I think it was impressive for the time.  Then again, just like any other console, you either like it or you don't.  Just my opinion.

^ People these days have the advantage of hind sight. No one had ever done a switch to a "next-gen" console at that time, so Atari had to try and invent a way. I believe if Nolan had still been in charge, it would have been much more successful and well designed. I agree, it isn't a bad system and I personally enjoy it more than the 7800.

OK, now for my pet peeve which is short and sweet. UN. SKIPPABLE. CUT. SCENES. Seriously people? 2012 and you STILL can't figure this one out?
