Here you can write about everything that annoys you about video games.

For me it would have to be majority of Xbox Live's players. Most of them are team killing griefers that cannot follow the simplest instructions. Example: In a game of Left 4 Dead on Expert, it was 3 human players and I and we had just gotten to the end of the first level (The hotel safehouse). Anyway, only one of us on our team has a pipe bomb to clear out all the zombies underneath us. So I tell him to throw it out in the middle of the horde. Simple instructions I think. Well instead he throws it in front of the window we are all standing in. Next since that wasn't enough just blowing up his team, he sets off the car alarm shuts all of the doors in the hotel and the safe house and leaves us 4 dead (I am so clever Tongue ).

I love the people playing Left 4 Dead on Expert that try to steamroll through the whole map like they're Charles Bronson. It doesn't work like that kids- you gotta work as a team.

Little kids playing Halo. Ugh... It's not that they are bad or anything, it's just they shouldn't talk.

But my biggest pet peeve would have to be... playing Worms and someone girders themself in with 1 worm left then burns a tunnel so that he's impossible to kill.

Not really a pet peeve of mine but I was kind of annoyed that people at the flea market today treated me like I was an 8 year old. Everytime I was looking at PS1 games the seller told me: "Those are PS1 games, not PS2", with a look on his face like I'm too young to know what a PS1 is.

The strange thing is that almost the exact same thing happened to me with 3 different sellers. By the 3rd I wanted to say "Yeah, shut up, I know more about games than you do." but obviously, I didn't. Tongue

I hate when people refer to the NES and Genesis as the "original" Nintendo or Sega. The NES is somewhat excusable as its Nintendo's first real console in the US, but come on, Nintendo was around for almost 100 years before the NES. But they have no excuse for calling the Genesis the original Sega.

In their defense, the sellers are probably just tired of whiny parents or kids bringing back games and demanding refunds because they were too stupid to realize they weren't PS2 games. So, they just make sure everyone knows what they're buying.

Escort missions and timed objectives. Oh and I hate bad cameras too. I just got rid of Ninja Gaiden II partially for that reason. In this day and age a camera that shoves into the wall or hides enemies behind it is not acceptable.

Yeah, I guess you're right.

But still, the games say PlayStation without a "2" behind it + they're in square jewel cases. How obvious can it be? Tongue

Long story lines, or intro's.   One that comes to mind is "The sword of Mana" I tried to play this game a couple of different times, BUT holy crap I got so tired of the intro I didn't even want to play it anymore, or just didn't have the time to play anymore.  Smiley

How about the words "old school" in general?

There really isn't any one thing I don't like. I take everything as it comes. You never know when something that seemed like a crap idea may be done right.

Amen to that! I hate "old school" as well. I'd prefer the term "throwback", personally.

Games where the first thing they advertise on the box is "online play"

DRM that makes me doubt that years from now I'll be able to play a game I paid for (and as such, I don't buy those games).

This, totally this. Especially the timed objectives. Nothing puts me off a game faster than a twitch reflex timed event. Ugh!
