Hello all.

I have a thread going in the Video Game Generation forum concerning Handheld systems and my decision to enter into collecting them.  As you know, consoles are my bag - not handhelds.  Everyone has been a tremondous help in educating me on this foriegn territory.  I have been acquiring some systems and need your help again - am I paying a fair rate for these systems?  Here is what I have recently added:

Sony PSP
CIB for $138 + $0 S\H (from USA)

Thanks in advance all!

Those all look like great prices to me, especially the Game Boy and GBA LE. Seems to me there are very few Game Boy Originals out there in that kind of shape CIB. If there are more of them I doubt most would be lucky enough to get one at that price!

the price for the express alone more then makes anything else look bad.  That's the cheapest I have ever seen a CIB copy fetch.  My god, I wish I had found it first!

Unfortunately the Platinum isn't really Limited Edition like they tried to make it out to be. Just like the platinum GCN.

But all in all those don't look bad at all especially the shipping prices from overseas!

I agree with logical. Start picking up those variants! There are some very cool ones(Famicom Micro for example)

Thanks for the feedback everyone.  I am trying to get the initially released units in their original packaging.  Handhelds seem to have a greater variety of packaging than consoles.  If I have not picked up one of the originals, please let me know.

Thanks again!

Indigo was one of them. Most consider it to be the "default" color as it was the for GameCube as well. The Black one from Toys R Us was a nice one too.

Are you going to keep collecting handhelds, now that you've established that you don't like them?

The WonderSwan systems are a dime a dozen in Japan and extremely easy to come by (eBay, yahoo.jp, etc.).  Do not spend allot on these base systems.

Are you going to keep collecting handhelds, now that you've established that you don't like them?
I wouldn't say that I do not like them - it would be more accurate to say that I am trying to identify the niche in my personal gaming world for them (time, etc.).  And yes, I still plan on rounding out the collection with these little guys as evidence of my recently added items : Dreamcast VMU (BNIB), Nintendo DS (CIB), Nintendo GB Color - Teal (CIB), Nokie N-Gage QD (CIB), Gizmondo (NIB).

That's nice to hear. They're still devices to play games on after all, so why not collect them too. Cheesy

And nice additions to your handheld collection!

Quick question: What does BNIB means?
