whats that disc drive thing under the n64?

That is a copy device called the Dr. V64, it was made by Bung Industries.  It was a cheap third party dev tool, so programmers would often use them instead of the expensive first party ones.  It is also capable of playing any region N64 Rom.  Pretty cool device, mine is CIB.  If you want more info, Flack is the king of system copiers around here, shoot him a PM.

Picked up 2 CIB copies of NFL Football '94 and a CIB World Series Baseball '98 for Genesis at Goodwill today. $0.99 each. They also had a boxed model 2 Genesis deck, but it had no paperwork, so I passed for $15.

What did you pay for Castlevania, if you don't mind my asking? I have been looking for that one myself.

I actually got a good deal on SOTN.  I paid $8 for it at a local pawn shop.

The only bad part is that I already had all but 3 of those games.  I really just needed the paddle controllers and it never hurts to have a back-up for a back-up Atari slick
