Today I went to the largest event in my area...Swap (or Trade) days.  It takes place at the Scioto County Ohio Fairgrounds 2 or 3 times a year and it is the most insane thing ever.  It is like a gigantic flea market but with animals, guns, and swords!  This is the place to buy Llamas, peacocks, any type of dog that a person could want, plus it has all the junk that a person would love to thrift through....

Sadly, I assume that ebay is the culprit, the video game selection was very high price (ex...Maniac Mansion loose $15) and  many places had NES games for $4 and $5 dollars and SNES and Genny games for $10.  So I didn't walk out with a lot of deals...just these:

Panic Bomber for the Virtual Boy: BOX Only: $0.50
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS1) (Greatest Hits) Complete and Mint condition: $4

I was really excited about getting that Castlevania game (Though I dont have a ps1 or 2!) but I was more excited about making it out of the place without being bitten by a passer-by's goat or spit on by a llama or even shot (This place was scary!)

went to my folks house for my birthday (which is actually tomorrow) and got a few games as gifts.

Xbox - Far Cry Instincts: Evolution
PS2 - Hot Wheels Stunt Track Challenge
PS2 - Tak and the Power of Ju Ju

I also got a $15 Target gift card, a $15 Gamestop gift card and $20 bucks cash which I'm sure will be used for games.

I went to the Retro Computer Dag in Schiedam, the Netherlands, yesterday, and picked up the following goodies:

NES games:

PAL NES Asterix w/box - 5 euro
PAL NES Asterix CIB - 8 euro
PAL NES Noah's Ark loose - 4 euro
NTSC Rollerblade Racer loose - 6 euro
NTSC Dirty Harry w/manual - 6 euro
NES 260 in 1 w/box - 7,50 euro
NES 168-in-1 Mastergames w/box - 7,50 euro
NES Super Mario IV  - FREE
NES Super Mario Family - FREE

NES accessories:

Suncom Mother Ship US version - NIB - 5 euro (it's odd how it says on the box that this one is not endorsed or supported by Nintendo, yet on the hangtab extension on the top it does carry the Nintendo seal of quality?)
2 grey Nuby Cleaning Kit - NIB - 3 euro each
2 purple Nuby Cleaning Kit - NIB - 3 euro each
Camerica Game Genie w/broken off extension - FREE

NES collectibles:

Super Mario Bros domino set w/box - 5 euro
Super Mario plush doll - 4 euro

All the other stuff including games for Sinclair Spectrum, Atari ST, Saturn, PC, etc, was free thanks to Retro Rene (I think that's who the guy is, looking at a pic from another website).  I also got those Super Mario pirates (IV and Family) from him for free!

Nice pick ups in all. I really like the pirates, Asterix & the mothership. Which one by the way is the domino set?

Thanks

The 260-in-1 just says Gold Cassette Series on the back, and on the box it just says TV Video Game Cartridge in four languages (English, Spanish, Dutch, and one of the Scandinavian languages I think)

Ok, the Scandinavian languages is Swedish.
I've got a lot of those XXX-in-1 carts, with simular label as the one on your box (or is it a window in the box, so you can see the carts label?). There's also some Asian writing on the pics on my labels - I'll show it to you later, 'cause now I'm going away for some days.

Have a great Easter holiday everyone!

Thanks for the info.  Yup, it's a window in the box.  I have a few like these as well, but unfortunately most multicarts have only a few real games on them and usually fairly crappy ones as well.  I just tested the 260-in-1, though, and I was really surprised...they put a lot of effort into the title screens, with animations, music, sound effects, etc...very nicely done.  The multicart also has lots of unique games on it, including many unlicensed Hwangshinwei and Famicom-only releases.

On a side note, I also picked up a SuperVision 64-in-1 cartridge for NES recently.  They normally have lots of unique games on them if I'm not mistaken, but this 64-in-1 only has around 10 games on them, and crappy ones while at it.  Sad

Anyway, happy easter holidays!  Enjoy your vacation man!

Some bargains to be had at Meijer stores here in Michigan. They refilled their bargain rack today and I picked up a new copy of The Bard's Tale for Xbox at $9.99.
