How is the history of Nintendo book?

It is really amazing. Extremely dense and every page includes full color pictures (and there are a LOT of pictures). I can't say enough about the content, although I had a very difficult time actually getting the book delivered (I ordered it the day before Christmas and it just arrived.) Book 2 about Gumpei Yokoi is out, so I think I will risk trying to get a copy of it also.

I'd love to read something like that.  I should try to find something like that on the Kindle store.

awesome deal on dream trigger but why "as is"? was there actually anything wrong with it?

It appears to be factory sealed. No idea why it's "as is".

Target doesn't sell it anymore.  It went on clearance a while back.  Someone either returned it or found a copy in the backroom somewhere and they likely took a percentage of the clearance price and charged that.  Very nice find sir.

My dad picked up a Mini NES for $5 on Sunday with the Dogbone controller.  Grin

Picked up River City Ransom on NES for $1 the other day at a garage sale.  Flawless label and probably among my favorite "walk right and hit things until they die" game.

Also for $1 at that same garage sale
Kirby's Dream Land on Game Boy
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fates on DS
Dementium The Ward on DS
Flying Dragon The Secret Scroll on NES

For $5 - Final Fantasy XIII on PS3

I won a joblot of 3 PlayStation consoles on eBay in April.
When they arrived, there was a 1002, two 5552s and a 9002. Wait, that's four... Huh The 9002 wasn't mentioned in the listing.

A few days ago, I was using a boot disc to boot a copied game on the 9002.
Next time I turned on the console, I forgot I left the copied disc in it, and to my surprise, the copy booted up!

Curiously, I took it apart to find out it has a mod chip inside. Cheesy
Also, whoever installed the mod chip did a very neat soldering job. Smiley

That is some great grabs for the prices! Garage sales can be really wonderful sometimes.

I hit the local GameStop and grabbed a copy of Pac-Man / Galaga Dimensions for the 3DS, and renewed my Game Informer subscription that came with a brandy-new Minion of the Dark Lord Satan Power-Up Rewards Pro card. These set me back a little under $8.00 after using a gift card.

I mentioned to the clerk I'd held off renewing my sub for a couple months, and he handed me the two issues I missed out on.

I also picked up a USB Gravis Gamepad Pro PC controller for $0.99.

The big pick-up of the day, however, was a CIB Nintendo Entertainment System Control Deck for $24. Everything's in pretty good, if not mint condition.

It even came with a bonus:

Not a title I've really been jonesing to add to my collection, but I'll take it.

I got in my Stadium Events repro today. I'm having more fun trolling with it than actually playing it.

I'm pretty shocked that someone made you a Stadium Events repro. Those things are heavily frowned upon. Enjoy the new title screen Grin

Great grab on the boxed NES 'Norch.

What?! $0.99 and no screw-in thumb joystick? Take it back and complain that its not complete!

I found it at a thrift that almost never prices any video game controller pad below $4.99, not even for PC.

So finding this for $0.99 was akin to finding it for $0.29 to $0.49 just about anywhere else.

Besides, I'm pretty sure I can fashion my own joystick; I'll just take it to the hardware store, and dig through the bulk bins of bolts until I find one that works best...  Wink

I don't think I've gone to this one goodwill once where they didn't have anything. To be fair though, it's a huge one where they plan on building a "campus" for training workers. It also has it's own special "GoodBooks" store where they can mark up books.

Very cool.  I need to pick up Okamo Den.  Why would you block out the price on Symphonia?
