It appears to be factory sealed. No idea why it's "as is".

Bickman, that is nuts. I was trying to remember to check my Target today but I forgot after the pawn shop. I'll try again tomorrow and see if I could get as lucky.

If anyone is interested in a Megaman X8 with a water damaged cover and disc (no manual) the pawn shop had one in that condition for $5. I'll just charge you what it costs me.

How is the history of Nintendo book?

It is really amazing. Extremely dense and every page includes full color pictures (and there are a LOT of pictures). I can't say enough about the content, although I had a very difficult time actually getting the book delivered (I ordered it the day before Christmas and it just arrived.) Book 2 about Gumpei Yokoi is out, so I think I will risk trying to get a copy of it also.
