Hello, everyone! I figured my first post on RFG might as well be a finds post.

I recently stumbled upon a thrift store very close to my home. Upon checking out their "behind the counter" electronics, I came across a NES with one controller and an Advantage joystick. All in all, it set me back $9.09... I also picked up Ghosts n Goblins, Wizards & Warriors and Simon's Quest. All cart only, all $1.21 each

Fast forward to today... I went back to the thrift store. I had plans of picking up a boxed Game Gear that I passed on last trip. It was gone, but I still managed to take a couple things home. I grabbed Bases Loaded (NES, $.66 cart only), Base Wars (NES, $1.21 cart only) and X-Men (Genesis, $1.21 CIB).

On my way back through the store to hunt down my Wife, I stopped by the books. For some inexplicable reason they had Family Guy Volumes 1 and 2 in the hardbacks section. Upon looking them over, I realized they were both 100% complete and very nearly mint. The asking price? $2.12 per boxed set. Needless to say they came home with me!

Thanks for sticking with me through my first post. Hopefully it's the first of several.

An interesting find at Value Village today, a Japanese PS2. Now all I need are some English friendly Japanese PS and PS2 games. It's the SCPH-50000 which originally came with a remote so I'm going to have to keep an eye out for it.

what an atrocious price.
Thanks for that.

I don't like online. There's only eBay and I don't like eBay. I've been waiting for almost 2 weeks on a Dreamcast now, so if I can find something in a store I'll buy it there rather than online.

Don't compare the Belgian market to the US market either because it's completely different. Unlike the US, there aren't millions of shops here who sell second hand games at dumping prices.

yeah... But... estarland... It shipping... Globally... At... Good... Prices...

I'm sorry, but 20 euro for a harry potter game seems like robbery to me, that's all.
