Goodwill scores:

Tekken 3 CIB PS1 - $1.99
3 Cassette tapes - $.49 each

I also bought StarCraft Battle Chest Collection only to get home and find that the games were missing. Oh well, only $2.99 to charity down the drain.

I nearly bought a PS1 game in a charity shop a while ago but it had no disc in it. They said someone must have stolen it. I've heard a few stories like that recently. It seems weird that people would steal just the discs from old games. Huh

There was also a Led Zeppelin 'Presence' tape for $.49, but it was missing the cassette. I usually try to check all the stuff I buy for both disks, correct disks, etc., but StarCraft was taped shut with clear masking tape. Oh well....  Sad

At least I came out with extreme's 'Hole Hearted' cassette single and Tekken 3.  Cheesy

Ive noticed at Goodwill they don't seem to check in the first place if the item is in there. How else would it get taped shut (to prevent theft), and not be in the case?

Picked up a few PS1 games today at the thrift.

Brave Fencer Musashi (complete) $2
Diablo (complete) $2
Dragon Valor (complete) $2
Final Fantasy IX (missing disc 3 and manual) $2
Sim Theme Park (complete) $2

I am most excited for Diablo. Been trying to find it for awhile. Dragon Valor has a very beat up case and will need a replacement. If anyone happens to have a Final Fantasy IX disc 3 and manual and wants to part with it let me know, otherwise I will probably sell off the discs seperate to help others with incomplete copies.

Took a vacation to Edmonton and planned to buy a lot of games there since we have very few classic gaming stores where im from.... but was very dissapointed. I visited 6 different stores within Edmonton and the prices they had listed (and the service at 5 of the 6) was absolutely disgusting. Anything with a recognizable name (mario, zelda, ninja gaiden) was instantly bumped to $50 or more. They did have some rare games such as Bubble Bobble Part 2 but priced at $180 I had to pass. One store even had new games doubled in price, such as Rockband for $300 and Mario Kart Wii for $80. The worst one I saw though was a cart only copy of F-Zero X (N64) priced at $2999.99. I asked the clerk if it was a mistake and he had no clue and told me it must be "really rare or something".

Anyway of all the money I had saved up for this trip specifically for gaming purchases I only spent $27:
Pikmin 2 (GCN)- $19.99
Luigi's Mansion (GCN)- $4.99
Mike Tyson's Punch Out (NES)- $1.98

Sadly the first two were at EB games but the last one was at Salvation Army. I ended up spending the rest of my money on comic books. Oh well. it was a good trip for comics at least.

Nexwave, Play Me, Just For Fun, Games n' Stuff, Action Exchange, were all a waste of time. There is a good chance they will have some games you want, but you'll pay 200%-400% more for them than what you could purchase them for off of Ebay or any other auction site.

I can't even go into specialty shops like that. The only places I buy games are pawn shops or Craigslist. The prices in those places are outrageous.

Sorry, I don't have a small score to mention Smiley
