Unfortunately whoever prices the games does so rather high generally.

They had quite a few $1 PS1 games at this store, but nothing was all that interesting to me. Even the games I got weren't that interesting to me Smiley They had the standard $75 Final Fantasy VII behind the glass (this one didn't even have the manual), and a couple other decent games, but for the most part the selection left quite a bit to be desired. I'll have to start checking here more often though.. It's a place I always forget about when I'm out...

Finally! I went out today, originally to go to Ikea to get a new bookshelf. I decided against that and went to Discland instead. I'm glad I did. I picked up:

Tetris DS (DS, CIB) - $25
The Flinstones: The Rescue of Dino and Hoppy (NES, loose) - $8
King of Kings: The Early Years (NES, loose) - $8
Legendary Wings (NES, loose) - free

I have been looking for Tetris DS for ages, and I'm thrilled with the price and condition. I picked up King of Kings because it was one of the last Wisdom Tree games I need for the NES, and for some reason I thought that the Flinstones game might be hard to find (I can't access DP and check on their rarity rating right now, the site is down?). Legendary Wings I picked up for a friend, who's been asking me to find that game for him for a couple weeks now. Now a bad afternoon for me.

Made a deal with a friend, let me know if you think it was a good one. I gave him $50, he gave me:

Qix (NES Complete)
Star Wars (NES Complete)

and the boxes, manuals, plastic, sleeves and foam for the following NES games (which i already owned loose)

1943
3d world runner
base wars
Bases loaded
bases loaded 2
blades of steel
championship bowling
contra
double dribble
excitebike
fighting force
fighting golf
galaga
golf
gunsmoke
jackyl
Jeopardy
knight rider
life force
lunar pool
Millipede
tengen pacman
Pinball
pro wrestling
punch out
renegade
side pocket
silent service
super Mario 3
temco bowl
tennis
Top gun
track and field
wheel of fortune
wild gunman

So i figure a $1 per box, $10 for Qix and $5 for Star Wars. Thats a good deal right? 3D world Runner has the original glasses in it too.

Went out today and found:

Rogue Galaxy (PS2, CIB) - $15
Metal Gear Solid 3 (PS2, CIB, don't ask why I didn't have this before today...) - $7
Super Mario Bros. Classic NES Series (GBA, loose) - $8

I was pretty excited about finding Rogue Galaxy. It's been high on my list of games to play for a while now. I was half-heartedly looking for a 60GB PS3 for a decent price, but I didn't see one anywhere (fairly uncommon to not see at least one at a pawn shop somewhere). I haven't really decided if I want to spend the money on one right now, but I really want to be able to get GTA IV at the end of the month.
