Goodwill:
- Heroes of Might and Magic II Gold (PC; disc only) = $2.00
- Shenmue (DC; no manual or passport manual) = $2.00

Pawn Shop:
- Ninja Gaiden (NES; cart only) = $1.40
- Rival Schools (PS1; no manual) = $4.00

The games coming into these places have been good as of late so I'm looking forward to some more decent finds.

found a VHS tape of a cartoon called Pole Position

http://www.bcdb.com/carto.../Pole_Position/index.html

I watched the first episode last night and it doesn't have anything to do with the game. some of the driving scenes used the same perspective as the game though, with the scenery somewhat resembling game graphics. Namco is listed in the copywrite information.

Scurge: Hive for the DS. $10. Never heard of the game, but thought it looked decent enough to pick up for the price. Anyone here played it?

I played it for about 30 minutes to get a feel for it. Seems like a decent enough isometric action-adventure.

Just getting my Japanese import Wii tommorrow. Really hape with even though i have to pay 110 euro import duties. Comes with one extra remore and 7 games which will keep me busy some time. Now I only need to save some money for a classic controler with 5000 wii points.

Today I went out to a local indie game shop. There were roadworks on the way which made the journey 20 minutes longer than it should have been. It turned out the shop was closed anyway. Sad

So I went to a charity shop where I found Worms Armageddon on the PS1 for £1.49. Except some scrote had stolen the disc. Angry I didn't buy anything in the end.

If it dries up I might go to a car boot sale on Sunday.

I went back to the indie shop today and got some stuff. All the game discs, manuals and cases are in pretty good condition.

PS1:
Tomb Raider 1 - £2
Tomb Raider Chronicles - £2
Bugs Bunny & Taz: Time Busters - £2

Saturn:
Tomb Raider - £2
Alien Trilogy - £2

DVD:
The Simpsons Movie - £5 (I nearly bought it on Tuesday for £10)

Then I saw a natty little Mad Catz controller in his display cabinet. He said it was for the PS1 but the copyright date is 2003, so it must be for the PS2. It was £3 so I bought it. It's the same size as an NES controller. It feels very solid and cold, like it's made from metal but I'm sure it's plastic. [Edit: Holy crap! It lights up!]
