Some of the Mac users here have had problems with images loading on these boards.  This thread is here to try to help resolve the problem so you can all see the horrible things people post here, in living color.

I'm on a Mac at school and the images aren't showing up for me either.  I think it's a problem with the Macs, though, and not the board or RF Gen server.  I went to the Random Images Thread and all of the images there DID download.  However, they didn't actually display.  A message popped up that said something about me not having a gif plugin required to display images on the page.  If I knew more about Macs, I might actually know why that is, what it means, and where to get the plugin.  However, I don't, so I'm gonna have to leave that to you Mac owners out there.

a gif plugin? how old of a Mac is this? My G3 at home is over 5 years old and when I did use it for web access it displayed images just fine. maybe somebody whacked some of the contents of the plugins folder.

You are very tricky you know that Nep?

Anyways i was thinking before something ,might have happened where people denied images from RFGen from showing up.
But then i realized that alot of the images people couldn't see where from other sites as well.

Give it a shot, guys.  Thanks to one of the wonderful people over at www.boardmod.org, we may have found the problem.  If those of you who had problems can see images here now, please let me know.  If they are still not showing up, I'd like to know that too of course.  I'll be able to check on a Mac or two on Tuesday, but until then I'll wait for your responses.

Is it still not working in IE or Safari?  I had a problem with images not working, and it turned out somehow I had accidentally hit a keyboard shortcut to block images from the site I was on at the time (this one).  May want to check into that.

That is bizarre.  Had you tried it with Safari before?  Last fall I tried on the Macs at school with both Safari and IE and it didn't work with either of them.

Of course some Mac users here have said they never had any problems at all so that makes it even harder to diagnose.  I think it has something to do with the image auto-resize mod, but I couldn't find a way to fix it.  I'm sure when I get my Mac in a month or two I will have a better chance to get it working since I will actually have a machine to test things on.
