- Get Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
- Get a complete copy of Star Fox 64 (N64)
- Reach 650 unique games
- Pick up an Xbox
- Sell off games that I will NEVER play
- Sell off my extra consoles (Anyone wanna buy some Genesis? I have a model 1 and 2 for sale.)
- Pick up Ninja Gaiden (Xbox) and Ninja Gaiden III (NES)

2009 goals:

- Get organized - though this may be impossible as I really have NO room for my collection.
- Update my collection pics in my profile. The pics in there now are probably 4 years old.
- Hit 400 PS2 games (need 17)
- Hit 300 Xbox games (need 12)
- Hit 100 for one of the Gameboys ( GB - need 11, Color - need 28, Advance - need 15)
- Hit 5000 total games (need 209)

Mostly I just want to keep finding whatever I can that's cheap.

As I totally failed at all my 2008 goals I'll pick some more realistic ones for this year:

1100 total games, not items
100 Dragon 32 games
150 Mega Drive games

I've actually decided to make a goal this year, one that doesn't require fortune-telling as to how many games I'll buy.

I have currently, excluding demos and the like, 969-ish entries in my collection. 800 of them are CIB, 169 are not. That's a CIB percentage of 82.56% give or take. My goal this year is to get that number up to 90% CIB. Shouldn't be too hard for some systems but it'll be like pulling teeth for others.

That's brilliant! I think I'll try doing something like that too...

My number one goal above all else is to get my collection reorganized. The locations I've been using for pretty much every game system have got to the point where I can no longer add stuff alphabetically and new stuff just gets piled next to it. I currently have a lot of games double shelved so that I can't easily access the ones in the back. DS games stacked in front of GBA, Gamecube and Xbox in front of PS2, etc.

Until the time that I have more space, I currently am not seeing my collection of PS1, Dreamcast, NGC, Xbox, GBA, Sega CD, Saturn, or PSP games growing by much.

I think 09 will be much like 08 was for me. A lot less impulse buying and only considering purchases for around $10 or less except for personal highly anticipated new releases (Resident Evil 5) and RPGs that have good preorder only bonuses which I'm a sucker for. 360 and DS will probably see the most growth, with some growth still for PS2 and PS3 now that I finally got the system. I don't really want to guess how much my collection will grow, since I've sadly seemed to have pretty much reached the limit space-wise, especially with my movie, book and magazine collections competing for space.  Undecided

I thought my goals were already posted, nope.

2009 will be a slow and staggering year. I have graduated and still working my full time job, so I actually have more free time now. I've been spending that extra time not digging for new swag and I've cut down on purchases across the board. I'm in a retention mode and want to play the thousands of games already sitting on shelves I haven't touched since the day they were bought. So I have low expectations for the year as I save for a small house and hope for the best of finds (picking up a second arcade cab would be nice). Smiley
