Yes, it is region free. I have no clue about good JPN or EUR games though... Tongue

Keep in mind that you have to play imports on a TV capable of supporting PAL or HDTV. Smiley

From what I remember, the hardware of the PS3 and 360 is region free but it's up to the game developers to decide if they're going to put region locks on their games. I know that's true for the 360 but I'm not entirely sure about the PS3.

As for regional exclusives, I can't think of any. The main reason people in the UK import is because it's cheaper and they can get games earlier.

If there are regional exclusives on the PS3 (I have no idea) it'll probably be a couple of JPN-only games. I'd be surprised if Europe had any PS3 games that weren't released in North America. (With the only possibility I can think of being Soccer games, maybe)

Well i saw the Way of the Samurai 3 and Siren for the PS3 in JP. I am thinking about getting these too as it doesn't look like they will hit state side.

Siren is available in North America, albeit as a download on the Playstation Store for about $40 or so. Honestly, I'd buy it on the store because it's a vote showing Sony to bring more of these types of games to America.

The PS3 is not region free with PS2 and PS1 games. This is important to keep in mind if you plan on importing the system itself.

I kinda figured that as i tried one of my import psone games...lol. My PS3 is not backwards compatible with PS2 games.
