Currently a supervisor for an alarm monitoring company. (Think ADT, but not them)

I've previously worked as a trash collector for a local municipality, Applebee's, Shoprite, local Pizza place and a security guard. Oh and I worked at Toys R Us and Olive Garden for one week each.

As of last month, I'm a "Field Technician" aka Laborer for a stream and wetlands mitigation and restoration company based in Pittsburgh, PA. Basically, I do the hard dirty work that can't be done with machines like planting trees and other plants, removing cattails from wetlands, installing various types of erosion control devices, and whatever else the boss decides needs to be done.
Its brutal physical work but the pay is decent and I'm hoping I can use it as a stepping stone to better things before too long.

Do you have connections with Washington State?  My fiance got a degree in restoration and she's having trouble finding a job with it.

I work for a non-profit picking up clothing donations in front of houses and in donation bins in front of businesses.  The pay is eh...i get by.  I like my job though.

I used to work at:

Suncoast Video
Burger King
WalMart
Fred Meyer
Winco Foods
Diva Espresso
McDonalds
Seatac Park
MasterPark
Firestone

Just got a job working as a server at a Japanese restaurant in Mountain View. This is actually the first job I've ever had so I'm real happy over the fact that I no longer have to scour job listings every week (!). I only get paid minimum wage (which is about $8 in Cali) but it's a start I suppose.

Wow i'm surprised minimum wage in California is only 8$s.
It is still around 8 in MA but expenses are lower here.

EDIT
Also congrats on the job!

I've been doing the military thing for 12 years now and have been a lot of places/done a lot of awesome things.  I'm currently a combat instructor prepping folks to head overseas.  I work 12 hour shifts almost every day, but, I get to drive around on quads and shoot machine guns so it all works out Wink

Just got a job working as a server at a Japanese restaurant in Mountain View.

That narrows it down to about 100 possible places just off of El Camino Real alone.  Tongue

Looks like my previous post got lost in the outage...
In case anyone here wasn't aware, I work for Electronic Arts at the Tiburon studio, which handles the football titles as well as Tiger Woods. I'm a Software Engineer for the central team that handles a lot of the technology needs as well as supporting the football teams for various needs. Nothing fancy, nothing back of the box, but we're the oil that keeps the machine running.

I thought for sure that sentence was going to end differently.
