It appears that this just went live. Almost off work and then home to download. I'll try to post my thoughts on it once I get a chance to walkthrough and see just what this is all about.

Huge virtual dance party at 5 central! Cheesy

You should add your PSN ID to the list at http://www.rfgeneration.c...um/index.php?topic=6398.0. Make a post in there and I'll add you.

I don't get it. They've had the same controller for years.

Same here. I suppose Sony's server is getting so much traffic right now.

That controller is awesome but the triggers on the side make it unrealistic. (not that it wants to be...)
Lol and that infinity button is pure genious. Cheesy

Well, I was able to mess with it for around an hour or so earlier. Pretty slick interface once you get used to it. In-Home games are fun for short bursts. Bowling had an interesting way of determining your ball spin. I was thinking you used the analog sticks, but it is a 3-click style interface. One for direction, one for speed, and a third for spin. They are all timing based with a power meter that moves back and forth.

Pool was pretty nice with a spectator view when your opponent is shooting. Arcade games are pretty slick as well.

Only problem I had with it was the login lag. This will only get better as they adapt the servers to the load. I liked how you could choose the spaces you want to visit and download them in the background. I queued all of the available spaces and went to do other things while they downloaded. Each space was between 25 and 30MB.

Was bowling and pool similar to that in Grand Theft Auto 4?

Didn't play GTA4 much, never did the minigames.

Sure and if your lucky, Sony will rape your wallet for minor items to customize your avatar ending up costing you more than a game just to have someone that faintly resembles you.

It's like second life. It's either a mild curiosity sitting on your menu you ignore or something you jump into with both feet. But to fully utilize it, it'll cost money, and probably lots of it. Of course I'm basing this purely on the lack of options when creating your avatar. You can tell they've saved all the good content for extra downloads.

You are most likely right. Undecided

I'm not into those type of things though, so it doesn't matter much for me personally.
