I've been craving an Arcade Stick for quite a while now. I think i'm getting to the point where I'll actually buy one soon and after checking around a bit online this seemed like the one to get.

http://www.xgaming.com/tw...ug=x-arcade-dual-joystick

From the reviews I read it sounds like a solid arcade stick, and with simple adapters I can use it for any system from the Dreamcast up. Plus I can play two player with only one purchase. Its slightly over the $100 barrier, but seems worth it for all the positives it has in its favor.

I'm just wondering if any of you guys have had any experience with this stick or if anyone can recommend one. I'm not looking for anything over $150 and it'll be to use primarily for the Gamecube and Wii.

If your are after something cheaper you could always go with
http://www.goldenshop.com...rad/wii/fightingstick.htm

However provided you don't plan on getting a 360 or possibly Microsoft's future systems the X-Arcade stick also looks pretty future proof so can be seen as an investment.

The only arcade stick I would prefer over the X-Arcade would be the Saturn Astro City replica. However due to the insane shipping cost I don't seem myself getting any of these.

Arcade sticks are cool, but not exactly cheap if you're looking for quality. Undecided

I already checked out the Hori Fighting Stick and crossed it off my list because it wont be compatible with my Gamecube games. If I was going for Wii only that would probably have been the one I would have purchased.

Ill check into the Saturn Astro City stick tonight though and see how that goes. Thanks for the help Cobra!!!

If you come across any arcade machines of Virtua Fighter 2, Fighting Vipers, Die Hard Arcade or Virtual Tennis to name a few it may look familiar. It is the front end to Sega's arcades from between the time of the Saturn and DC era.

Hopefully there are some Saturn to other system adaptors out there so this little baby can live on.

So after trying to find a used one for cheaper I finally gave in and bought a brand new X-Arcade Dual Stick. Becuase of the crappy CAD to USD exchange it ended up costing quite a bit more than I initially wanted to pay. But I figured why not since I sold an Ipod and got a few X-mas bucks from Uma that helped pay for half of the price. I wont see it until after New Years, but when it finally gets here I'll post a quick review.

I'm going to finally break down and buy Ikargua once it arrives. Can anyone else recommend some Shmups, fighting games, or other arcade style games for the PS1, PS2 and Gamecube that they would recommend?

Thanks. I've already got MvC and I think a pawn shop downtown still has Rival Schools so I may pick that one up now. Ill definately pick up any other Marvel fighting games I see because they all seem to rock.

I got my arcade stick a couple days ago!! Played through Space Raiders and got my ass handed to me at Chaos Field. It feels very sturdy and responsive. Buttons are nice and springy. I've only played it on my gamecube so far but in the next couple days ill be playing some Marvel vs. Capcom and test it out with a good fighting game.

If anyone else has some more arcade style games for the PS1, PS2 or Gamecube to recommend please post. Some of the ones I'm planning on getting:
Ikaruga
Metal Slug Anthology
Alien Hominid
Marvel vs. Capcom 2
Rival Schools (only if its still in my local shop)
Bust a Move 3000
Radio Allergy
Shikigami no Shiro II
Hudsonsoft vol.2 Star Soldier

I'll definately snap up any X-men/Marvel fighting games that I come across.

Does anyone have any good Shumps or Run n' Gun style games to recommend?

Glad that you like it, Crabmaster!

Maybe you should do a review and fill us in on some more details of the stick. Smiley
