Welcome to the board.  Plenty of stuff on this site to keep you busy.  Be sure to start tracking your collection with our tools and play a few mini games.

Oh yeah DuckTales is a must-have type game. I very much enjoy it. It's definitely worth investing a few dollars.

Oh and as for me enjoying NES as a thirteen year old...well...
My Dad bought one when they came out and had it until I was born all the way up until I was about seven that's all I ever played day in and day out. We got rid of it once GameStop came to town and now I can make a little bit of money myself I have recently invested in another NES. So far I have about only 1/4 of what my Dad used to have as far as games. As far as the system it works Ok...not great...just Ok. I haven't touches it recently since school has started but I really need some Tips/Hints on how to clean it and things of that sort....any advice please tell me=]]

The NES is a very reliable system once you get to know it. Basically, rubbing alcohol is your friend. Use it to clean games and systems inside and out, just not labels/stickers you want to keep. A simple cotton swab dipped in alcohol is the preferred method for cleaning games. To clean the system, you'll have to open it up, but don't worry, it's very simple.
There are a multitude of guides out there on how to restore the 72 pin connector, but the one I used originally and still prefer to other ones is this one. I would like to add that when you have the connector out, take an old toothbrush dipped in alcohol to clean the connector as well.
And if you still have problems with games playing especially if it's just one or two games that refuse to play, you'll have to disable the lockout chip.
