Well I am a big V8 fan, I still play 2nd offense on my DC and Vigilante 8 on my PS3 from time to time. So I was very excited to hear about the re-make.
after trying the demo I was a little on edge but decided to buy anyways. $10 well spent if you ask me. The game plays just like it came out on PS1 and almost everything is the same. grafix are of course up to date and 8 player online is awesome. You can even unlock all 8 original cars in their 200 polygon glory! So far the only things i've seen lacking are: cg movies for the quest stories (everything is text now) and no more terrain deformation. you can still destroy everything in the environment, you just can't leave craters in the ground with mortars anymore.

Any other V8 fans out there? If anyone has this add me: metallicats33
and lets get some 70's style, oil hungry, vehicular combat ON!

Well there was an interview with Isopod labs and they commented that if V8 arcade does well there would be consideration of a “proper” sequel. So there is still hope.

I loved the V8 games.
I actually played them much more than any Twisted Metal game...

Alas i too am lacking in a system to play it on.
I really wish they would bring the series back though.
