Majou Densetsu II: Taimashikyou Galious

finally got around to dremeling the famicom converter inside of my Gyromite cartridge and playing my Famicom games.

Warpman was kind of eh, but I really enjoyed Majou Densetsu II. The gameplay felt like a really rough / early version of Zelda 2, and I'm a huge Zelda 2 fan.

It's all in crazy Japanese, but I did manage to get far enough to get a sword upgrade for breaking certain types of bricks.

Anyone else ever give this game a spin?

Gyromite is a Famicom converter. It might only be the early prints of Gyromite but they were just a Japanese famicom PCB plugged into a converter, all inside an NES game case. Pictures on Google, I expect.



I'm not interested in Japanese games, mainly because I can't read the language.

I didn't expect much out of this game because I found it at a flea market for a buck or two, and the box art made me expect a romance of the 3 kingdoms style strategy game for some reason.

Not all imports have extensive Japanese, it's mainly the RPGs and strategy games you need to worry about. In fact, some older imports don't have any Japanese at all.
