I used to go to airshows but one year was ruined by being stuck right behind the crowd while I was trying to take pictures. Then the photos came out badly because I was using crap film. I had also lost a lot of interest in planes and moved on to cars.

^There were guards, they just aren't shown in the picture.  There was a fence too, but I was at the edge of it, so it wasn't in the picture either. 

This was only the second air show I have been to.  The first one was amazing, but I didn't have a zoom lens so the planes were all very tiny in the pictures.  This year I had a good lens, but the sky was really overcast (as you can easily see in the pictures), so the pictures didn't turn out that great this year either.  Unfortunately, one of the stunt pilots crashed during the performance.  (link)  The rest of the show was canceled, the Air Force Thunderbirds were the only act to be canceled afaik.
