I scanned one of my favourite photos at 2,400dpi then saved it as a .png file last night. It took a while because it made a 241MB file. I'm glad I got another stick of memory now. Using the photo editor to mess around with it was using up 900MB of memory. I've never been able to scan this picture to a decent quality before because it would always have a tartan effect at fairly low resolutions. But at 9,500 X 14,000 every little spec of dust shows up, so I got rid of it all and still had a relatively sharp picture.

Here's just a small sample because I don't really want the full thing out on the internet. It's the Sky Tower in Auckland, New Zealand. I took this picture leaning out of a car window at some traffic lights.

Each graduating class gets one of these things.  (Or they did up until 1988.)  There is a hallway full of them.

My now old dog in 1996 as a puppy. The big lump of fur is Buttons, born in 1982 and died in 1998. She was deaf and blind in her later years and was eventually put down after having a stroke.
