Those birds are nothing like the ones around here. It looks like a baseball with wings and a beak.
Robins tend to be quite slender but it was cold, so it had plumped its feathers up.

There was a foot high pile of snow, like a toddler's attempt at a snowman. It had a yellow hole in it.
I decided not to take a picture.
