I got my new camera bag today. The old one was big enough to hold my camera gear but no more. I wanted something that can carry other stuff for travelling. I was thinking of buying it on Saturday but I wasn't sure because of the price. £75 on Jessops, £50 on Amazon. My gran and aunt gave me £70 early birthday money which made my mind up. Grin But then I realised the one I was looking at didn't have a laptop compartment like I thought it did. I found the next one up was £61 on Amazon so I decided to take my laptop into Jessops in town and see if it fits in the £61 one. Otherwise I would have to buy the bigger one for a higher price. It fitted in the £61 one but then I found Amazon sell the same one but with blue bits for only £54. So I bought the £54 one. Cheesy

It looks smaller than it is in these photos. It's actually quite big.

iPod in the pocket on the left and DS case with games in it.

Laptop compartment.

Also, we went to look at this car this morning. It's a very very nice Peugeot 407 SW. It has 4,800 miles on it and some nice features but it's only £11,500. The list price for new ones is £22,000+. We are most likely buying it, either tomorrow or Saturday depending on who has to sign for it. If mum has to, she won't be able to do it until Saturday.

I would say it's on a par with the BMW 525 Touring we used to have, except this one costs a third of the price and has a 2.0L diesel engine. When we were told they had one, they said with a cringe that it was Halcyon Blue. It's actually not a lurid as I thought, and I quite like it.

That's a very nice looking car, James!!! Smiley

And the bag seems like a good purchase, good thing you found the blue one for the lower price. Cheesy

That's not a bad looking car at all.  Maybe we're just a little more bold with car colors over here, but there is nothing cringe-worthy with that blue.  (You should see how many bright yellow and burnt orange cars we have over here...)

Also, that's a magical camera you have that can take a picture while remaining in the bag....

Some more photos of the car from yesterday. Smiley Mum is going to sign for it tomorrow and it will be ready to drive away then. The dealership gives seven day insurance cover so we can get the car home then wait for the cover note to come for our own insurance.

I would have had a photo from the front but I had to get the photos quickly and I wasn't parked somewhere I could do it.

It looks cramped in the back but it has about as much space as our old 406.

Lots of buttons. I'm sure it will confuse dad. All he wants is a big button to switch it to a certain radio station and a knob to change the volume.  laugh

The was valeted before we collected it. They used some slippy rubber cleaner on the floor mats so I nearly fell over when I got in. laugh It's a very nice car.

The sunroof covers the front and back seats. It doesn't open but it does let a lot of light in, although it has a blind to cover it up by different amounts.

We filled it up because they don't keep much fuel in demo cars. It took 56 litres of diesel at 109.9ppl (£63). I think the tank must be about 60 litres. At the petrol station someone very nearly scraped their car along the corner of this one as they were trying to turn around me. I would have been so pissed off if they had actually hit the new car before we even got it home.

I connected my mobile by bluetooth and phoned mum just to tell her I was using handsfree. Tongue

Just a quick question, but why does everyone cover up Plate Numbers on the internet?

I love the look of the car. I have been really drawn to the sportier wagons lately.

I really don't know either, good question.

Because someone can find a similar car, machine & paint a license plate with the same number, then commit a crime with it. If the vehicle is identified, they come knocking on your door. That and if there are spiteful people like bad neighbours or rivals, they could make a false complaint to the police even giving them your plate number. Without solid proof otherwise you'd be hard pressed to prove your innocence. In the least the hassle and suspicion is enough to cause problems personally and career-wise.

It's no different than blocking out street numbers on houses or being careful with your address on the web. You never know who is viewing it or what they can do with it.
