Well, I got some good deals this weekend.  Picked up 3-D World Runner for the NES for $2.  I went to Goodwill and picked up The Golden Compass for the DS brand new for $4 but when I got to the car I realized the lady didn't even charge me!!  Than I went to Target and they are clearing out a ton of games.  Picked up Metroied Prime 3 for Wii for $12.50 and Guitar Hero/Guitar Hero II dual pack for $30.  The best deal was at Best Buy, though.  They had wireless guitars for the PS2 for GH II on clearance for $25.50.  Well, I picked up two guitars and took them to the check out and they both rang up at $60 a piece!  Well, the girl goes back to check the price and comes back and says that those aren't the right guitars.  Someone put them in the wrong spot  (there were 6 to 8 guitars lined up right above the price tag).  They said they would give me the price anyways.  It turns out the guitars I got were the official  GH III wireless guitars!  Plus I had a $5 off coupon.  So I got two GHIII wireless guitars for $45, which is less than the price of one!  Great finds this weekend!  I also forgot I got Best of the Best Championship karate for SNES with the box for $.50.

What I've realized about Target clearance sales is that they are almost always specific to the store you are at. There are 3 Target stores close to me, and the clearance shelves are completely different at each one. I actually went to 2 of them yesterday, and they had no clearance games at all Sad

Great finds, though! MP3 for $12.50 is a steal!

Yea, I've noticed it.  Target is strange that way.  Not all Targets have the same items for clearance.  One Target has one item for clearance while another will have the same item regular price.  I never quite understood it.

I think the Target thing might have to do with how well each certain game sells at that particular store. So Simpsons game sells great and Store A, they leave it for 49.99, it doesn't sell at all in Store B, so they clearance it down to 14.98 after X amount of time.

pwpcody has it.  I work at Target, and while some things go on clearence at most Targets, it really is a regional thing, and depends if the store needs to get rid of it.  If something that will make more money has no spot, the "weakest link" will be put on clearence.

The store I work at has Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword and Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles on clearence right now, but they're only 30% off right now.
